WHO WE ARE…
 FPOP is a private, voluntary
organization committed to
empowering communities and families
to be responsible for their health.

Established on August 4, 1969 as a


private (NGO), non-profit, non-
sectarian organization affiliated with
the London-based International
Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF)

 IPPF is a global service provider and


a leading advocate of sexual and
reproductive health and rights for
all.

IPPF is a worldwide movement of
national organizations working
with and for communities and
individuals.
WHO WE ARE…
 We are a reproductive health service
provider and an advocate of sexual and
reproductive health and rights (SRHR)
for all Filipinos.

We are a nationwide organization of
professional and community-based
volunteers. We can be found in 25 provinces
across the country. We provide reproductive
health services and inform and educate our
communities about SRHR, especially the poor,
marginalized, socially excluded and
underserved. Currently, we operate 30
Community Health Care Clinics (CHCCs) that

We envision a world where every
woman, man and young person has
access to sexual and reproductive
health (SRH) information and services,
and sexuality is seen as a natural and
precious part of human life and a
fundamental human right.
FPOP desires that in this highly diverse
world, sexual and reproductive choices
are fully respected and stigma and
discrimination have no place.
OUR MISSION
 We champion sexual and reproductive
health and rights (SRHR) through
advocacy and provision of reproductive
health services especially to the poor,
marginalized, socially excluded and
underserved people including the young
ones. We work in partnership with
stakeholders at the national, chapter and
community levels. We are committed to
the eradication of HIV and AIDS, and the
advancement of the right of everyone to
enjoy a sexual life that is free from ill

aware of their rights, make free and
informed choices about their sexual
and reproductive health, and have
access to SRHR information and
 quality services including family
 planning.

abortion as a public
health issue and
have access to
quality services that
reduce and prevent
the incidence of
abortion nationwide.
The goal: advocacy
We push for policy reforms, from
national to local levels, and seek all
forms of support to SRHR programs
from the public and private sectors at
all levels.

Past interventions by FPOP on the
Filipino youth was found to be high on
information campaign but low on
provision of clinical services. They
were also focused on preventing
unintended pregnancies and were
found to lack uniformity, consistency
and institutionalization. This project is
an attempt to bring SRHR services
readily available to young people,
particularly those from the poor,
marginalized, socially excluded and

Filipinos by
delivering quality
family planning and
reproductive health
care services with
the message,
