Objectives

The objective of this course is to:

Provide theoretical concepts and practical applications of mechanic of
machines.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the unit, a student shall be able to:

Use analytical methods to calculate mass moment of inertia and radius of
gyration.
Apply graphical and analytical methods to determine the position, velocity and
acceleration of linkages.
Apply dynamic force analysis to calculate the forces and torques of multiple
linkage mechanisms.
Determine the state of static and dynamic balance in rotating mechanisms.

Identify the mechanic of reciprocal engine dynamics.
