Labs
- There will be 6 lab sessions for Solidworks, FEA and other design tools.
- The first lab session will start in the week 3.
- Will be held at WEEF Lab (E2-1310) and Multimedia Lab (CPH 1346) in groups of ~ 40 students.
- Schedules and group assignments will be announced later this week.
- Credit/no credit basis (the attendance and the completion of each task).
Desired Learning Outcomes
1. Understanding the basic principles of electromechanical machine design.
2. To be able to use analytical methods in designing components of machines.
3. Understanding different types of electric drives and their usages in operating machines.
4. To become familiar with specifications of different machine elements and their usages.

Textbook
Grading
Exam Policy: Closed book and closed notes. No telecommunication devices are allowed to use during
the exams. One calculator and one letter sized summary sheet (double-sided) are allowed.
Cheating: Students found cheating will be required to meet the Associate Dean of Undergraduate
Studies for Academic Discipline and will be subject to UW Policy #71: Student Academic Discipline.
