Brother Felix was well-known composer

Was a huge fan of Bach and some of her
works are compared to him now

Wrote music for the salon so she could
perform there
Music was not very well-known until
late in her life and beyond
Did not publish many works because of

One of them was called Italien
Felix had to admit that it was not his when
Queen Victoria of England asked him to
perform it in front of an audience because
it was her favorite piece
Died in 1847 in Berlin, Germany
Died from a stroke during a rehearsal of
her brothers choral cantata Erste
Walpurgisnacht
Felix was severely affected and died six
months later
