fancy afternoons and evenings, the beret for the
young lady, and a wide brim sun hat for garden
parties.
Hats had less decoration than they did in previous

years but were still quite pretty with a bow, flower
or art deco shape on one side.

CUTS
Women in the 20s cut their hair drastically, very
short and rounded, after the War, as a way of
expressing their individuality.
The Flapper were the women who marked
fashion trends in the 20s, they wore a bob cut
haircut, the most fashionable was the Garçonne
style.
• The hair should not pass from the shoulder,
the cut was asymmetrical, longer in front than
behind, straight bangs and wave hairstyles.
MAKEUP

makeup.
Very pale skin with rice powders that looked
