Problem 1: A 70 mm long line PQ has its end P 20 mm above the HP and 30
mm IFO the VP. The line is inclined at 45° to HP and 30° VP. Draw its projection.

PROBLEM 2: The FV of line AB is 500 inclined to XY and measures 55 mm long while it’s TV is 600 inclined to
XY. End A is 10 mm above HP and 15 mm in front of VP. Point A is closer to the vertical plane and to the
horizontal plane than point B. Draw it’s projections, find the TL and true inclinations of line with HP and VP.
Draw in 1st angle.

PROBLEM 6. Line AB is 75 mm long and it is 300 & 400 Inclined to HP & VP respectively.
End A is 12mm above HP and 10 mm in front of VP. Point A is closer to the HP and VP than
point B. Draw projections. The line is in 1st quadrant.

SOLUTION STEPS:
FV
1.Draw XY line and one projector for point A. TL
2.Locate a’ 12 mm above XY and
a 10 mm below XY line.
3. Take 300 angle from a’ & 400 from 1’
a and draw the TL i.e. 75mm in both
views. Label the end points b1’ and b1
a’
respectively. X Y
4. Draw horizontal lines (Locus) from
b1’ and b1.
a Ø 1
5. Project b1 onto the horizontal plane containing
a’.
6. Draw a horizontal line from b’1 representing the
locus of b’1 TV TL
7. With a’ as center and a’1’ as radius, draw an
arc cutting the locus of b1’ at b’.
8. a’b’ is the front view.
9. From b’ drop a projector downward & get point b b1
b on the locus of b1. Join a & b to get the TV.
PROBLEM 7. T.V. of a 75 mm long Line CD, measures 50 mm. End C is in HP and 50
mm in front of VP. End D is 15 mm in front of VP and it is above HP. Draw projections of
CD and find it’s true angles with HP and VP.
FV
3. Draw a horizontal line 15mm below the XY
line (locus of d).
4.With c as center, and radius 50mm, mark the
Point d on this locus to obtain the TV (cd).
5.On the same locus, with c as center and radius
75mm, mark the point d1 (True length cd1)
c’ d2
6.Project d1 onto the XY line (d2). X Y
7. With c’ as center and c’d2 as radius, d1
draw an arc.

Problem- The top view of a 75mm long line AB measures 65mm,while its front view
measures 50mm. Its one end A is in HP and12mm in front of VP. Draw the projections
of AB and determine its inclination with HP and VP.
Problem - A line AB, 70mm long, has its end A 15mm above HP and 20mm in front of
VP. It is inclined at 30° to HP and 45°to VP. Draw its projections and
mark its traces
