A unique approach to understanding our eating habits and embarking on a new path!

TREE OF MAYA 2024 (26).png

At Tree of Maya, we believe that access to good health - through activities that promote awareness-plays a key role in preventing various diseases.

Tree of Maya is committed to fostering the learning of new eating and behavioral habits through yoga and meditation.

We offer workshops that combine yoga practices, meditation, and the tasting of eco-friendly dishes prepared by passionate and dedicated chefs. Additionally, we provide meditative and intuitive cooking classes in vegetarian or plant-based versions.

We are committed to showcasing the richness of French terroir products, which are true treasures of our gastronomic heritage. By drawing inspiration from the great culinary traditions that have shaped the identity of our cuisine, we celebrate not only the diversity of regional flavors but also the expertise of passionate artisans and producers.

Each product we select tells a story—one of land, climate, and culture—and we are dedicated to sharing this authentic experience with all those who appreciate French gastronomy.

Our manifesto

In 2024, Tree of Maya was born from the desire to make beneficial, scientifically validated practices accessible to all. These practices address a wide range of needs: physical and mental well-being, peace of mind, active health management, self-awareness, and ecological concerns.

We want the importance of health to be understood and embraced by everyone so that it becomes an integral part of our societies, especially in the face of the climate emergency. Our goal is to create a support system that has a direct impact on both physical and mental health.

We aspire to restore balance to our eating habits - making them healthy and fair, both for ourselves and for the living world we share this planet with. Ultimately, we seek to cultivate a more mindful relationship with food, paying close attention to what we consume and how we consume it.

The Story

The Story

At the beginning of the Tree of Maya adventure (2022-2023), several key observations emerged:

  • The rise of lifestyle-related diseases, linked to our modern way of living (imbalanced diet, pollution), is concerning.

  • The benefits of meditation, particularly mindfulness, are widely recognized and have been integrated into the hospital system in France, thanks in part to specialists like Christophe André.

  • There is a lack of education across generations regarding eating habits, particularly in understanding how we eat and what we consume. This includes knowledge of nutritional qualities, food origins, and proper storage methods.

  • France is facing an epidemic of unhealthy eating. Over the past 30 years, the adult obesity rate has doubled, and among 18-25-year-olds, it has quadrupled. According to the National Epidemiological Study on Weight and Obesity by the National League Against Obesity, nearly 10 million French people aged 18 and over will be classified as obese in 2024.

  • Biodiversity is rapidly declining, severely affecting the climate and our quality of life.

  • 60% of French people are concerned about the state of the planet and demand urgent action.

  • While 77% of French people want local and organic products in restaurants, only 37% of establishments actually offer them.

  • In just three years, 10 million French people have practiced yoga. The field is becoming more professionalized, but training quality varies significantly. Some programs extend up to 1,000 hours, with structured frameworks and even professional certifications. Others, however, are much shorter, sometimes only 40 hours, lacking scientific depth or ethical standards. This raises critical questions: Who are the yoga instructors? What is their training? Ensuring practitioner safety requires clear standards for yoga instructors and their qualifications.

Why "Tree of Maya"?1234

The tree is a powerful symbol of grounding and balance.

By adopting this posture, we connect both to the earth and the sky, restoring an essential alignment. In a world of constant transformation and hyperconnectivity, we have gradually lost this fundamental connection.

This disconnection affects our physical and mental balance, influencing our digestion, stress levels, and overall vitality.

By embracing a more conscious and respectful diet, we promote better digestion, emotional regulation, and immune system support. Through this individual transformation, we also contribute to the regeneration of our planet.

Nourishment is not just about what we eat, but how we eat.

Our workshops and courses offer a unique journey to reconnect with oneself and nature through mindfulness, intuitive eating, and movement.

This project also carries a personal and intergenerational meaning: Maya is the name of Hanna's daughter, our founder. It is for her - and for future generations - that she seeks to contribute to a lasting legacy, where the balance between human health and nature is restored.

Each letter of MAYA reflects the core principles of this vision:

M for Meditation

A for Alimentation (Nutrition)

Y for Yoga

A for Amour (Love) - love for oneself, for our health, and for the Earth.
