suffer through my hyperfixations.

idk gay shit. Pearlydews on ao3

we need more pathetic female characters written by authors who don't hate women

to be clear since this is making the rounds: she has to be an absolute loser in no way that can be pinned on her gender. no "i'm just a girl tee-hee" stuff. straight up just a loser (nondenominational)

addendum: she must be the most important person in the whole narrative

I decided to sit down and concentrate and properly write the list of rules that qualify a character for this role.

  • FIRST LAW: This character must be a woman.
  • SECOND LAW: This character must be a loser, but not in a way that can be pinned on her gender. Misogynistic response from the audience does not disqualify the character.
  • THIRD LAW: If the audience does not enjoy this character, then it becomes impossible to enjoy the show/film/book/game altogether. It is not possible to ignore this character, for better or for worse.
  • FOURTH LAW: The character must make bad decisions, and not just be a victim of poor circumstances outside of her control. The character can also be a victim of poor circumstances outside of her control, but it has to be primarily her personal choices that deem her a loser.

do you ever just think about this shot and how it's one of the three moments Jaeho thinks back on in the scene where he is told Hyunsoo is a cop, but out of the three, it's the only shot that isn't anywhere else in the movie because it's a different perspective on the scene where Jaeho first talks to Hyunsoo (and first reaches out to touch him) and the other two flashbacks are to the scenes where Hyunsoo threw his lot in with Jaeho and saved his life, but in this shot nothing is happening – except Hyunsoo smiling at him for the first time and he's bathed in golden light that doesn't match the lighting of the actual scene because it's much darker when we first see it, but he's bathed in golden light here and his face lights up as he looks up at Jaeho and he looks beautiful – and it's the first of the memories that flash in Jaeho's mind before he says "He's too good to bury" and it's right there on the screen that he not only doesn't want to waste Hyunsoo just because he's useful, because he's smart or because it would be a good play, but because he's in love

..because I think about it a lot

This... couldn't be described more beautifully...

this quote is so funny to me because yeah no shit. why do you think we ship them babe????😭 why do you think we find their depth and complexity fascinating? why do you think we find the angst and the tension delicious? why do you think we want them covered in each other’s blood? why do you think we like rough and violent hate sex?

“maturing is realizing this is not the look of love” what’s next? maturing is realizing murders shown in horror movies are bad if applied to irl scenarios? maturing is realizing gore depicted in slasher films are not good if applied to irl scenarios?

maturing is realizing it’s fucking fiction and being able to separate that from reality 😭 you grow tf up and stop being chronically online please. or better yet, try watching nbc hannibal and figuring out why they call will and hannibal murder husbands.

maturing is knowing this is fiction and it’s hot.

Honestly episode 6 from Strangers from Hell is so funny because it's basically everyone in the studio going 'dude we fucking hate room 303 let's kill him' and Moonjo going 'why are u guys so mean to him 🥺' meanwhile Jongwoo is litteraly screaming in people's faces

sangwoo: people think i'm so arrogant and think i can get away with anything bc im smart but im not even smart i just dont talk very much and silently look cool

sangwoo: the real reason i think i can get away with everything is that I am hot as fuck.
