I like TTRPGs, art and videogames | eng/esp | 🇨🇱 | he/him | VTM brainrotten | THEY DON'T KNOW MY OC LORE

Pinned

(Not so) small talk about my VTM characters

I have a lot of charcaters that I should draw or write about but I'm too lazy, so I'm gonna write a little bit of everyone, if someone is interested I can later elaborate in a specific character or answer one of those OC question lists, idk.

Small sketches everyone at the end.

Elena "Theodosia" Sadoval

Camarilla malkavian, descendant of Vasantasena, the one I played the most, ex-psichology student, she was caught up by police during a protest so her to-be sire made his move a embraced her before getting into more trouble, she now is trying to uphold the camarilla traditions in a city without prince. Also made friends with a mage by being a nerd.

Osvaldo (unknown surname)

Anarch hecata, Giovanni bloodline, police detective that got involved in a case related to vampires, they framed him for another crime, got the death penalty and was later embraced. Has 2 werewolves in his kill count, none were expected.

Annina Cifuentes

A Thinblood, country woman at the city outskirts, discovered kindred lore from reserching apocryphal texts, local kindred gave the order to kill her but the job was not well done, she also has True Faith in the Bahari beliefs.

Bryan Mendel

Anarch brujah from Chicago and a descendant of Menele, he was a loose cannon in life, made friends with a ghoul and later their domitor, got assaulted and was embraced to prevent his death, his sire was killed at some point, so now he lives with his new inherited ghoul running an anarch disco as colleagues.

Ezequiel de Salamanca

My last character, camarilla nosferatu, he was a proffesor in the Royal Univesity of St. Felipe during the 1930s, was embraced for his academic background. He may be one the nosferatu worst affected by their curse, developing a face like a lamprey mouth (CW below: trypophobia)

Bonus: Garbriel Gonzales, aka. "Gallo de Pelea"

My Mage the Ascension character from the Akashic brotherhood, a very skilled chef in a small restaurant, got prematurely awakened as mage during the Week of Nightmares when he was a child and had to struggle with his Avatar Basilio, an invisible nightmare rooster that only he can see.

Question for the VtM / WoD characters with 0 points in fighting skills or simply fighting isn't their thing

¿What do they do when they have to fight?

I got 2 ocs in that style

-Elena gives her best with the weapon all vampires have, their fangs, if she can will hide with obfuscate to try to land a surprise attack, she'll also try to stake if she has one

-Bryan will try to divert the conflict into a social one, he thinks all conflicts can be solved with words and if you can't that's a skill issue, if things get too tricky or he can't talk to his enemy he'll use his disciplines to run away or reduce the enemy for other people deal with it

My therapist just told me my problem is that I need to write more fanfiction.

This sounds fake but the logic behind it is actually really interesting? She said obsession with a new fandom triggers quick dopamine release when we consume all this related content--it's easy and addictive.

What we're NOT getting is that 'slow dopamine' that's more sustainable and engaging. That's the kind we get from DOING things that take effort but are ultimately rewarding.

So like, she suggested that writing fic and making fanart are ways to balance the quick dopamine of watching a show/reading fic with the slow dopamine of working at something that takes effort.

Moral of the story is you should engage in the process of creation around your favorite things. You'll feel better for it.

“sorry for the gap between updates, my therapist made me come back to this” would not be in the top 1 million wildest author’s notes on AO3

Picrew of Dottie when she was newly embraced and worked at Phoenix's nightclub.

Also, one of my favorite out of character conversations I have had while playing.

*GM role-plays a private conversation in which our adopted ghoul NPC asks our Hecata to embrace him. The ghoul is frantic about it because he thinks it will give him a chance date Dottie*

Our tremere player, who has missed several sessions, including the one in which she turned the ghoul down: "What did Dottie do to him!?!?"

Me: "Dottie did nothing. He likes her because she's pretty and she exists."

Honestly, I think Dottie would be offended by the implication that she needs a blood bond or to use her disiplines to make someone fall head over heels for her. She's a Toreador who prides herself on being charming.

VTM OC Introduction: Dottie Don

Name: Dottie Don (she/her)

Clan: Toreador

True age: 26

Apparent age: 24

Height: 5'3

Kindred generation: 13th (Childer. She's only been a vampire for 2-3 years).

Sexuality: Demisexual

Occupation: Primogen

Feeding type: Farmer

Chronicle city: Kansas City, MO

Loves: Her friends, the color pink, sewing, jfashion, sanrio characters, anime, and anything kawaii aesthetic.

Hates: Blood bonds with mortals, random embracing, and kindred worship.

Backstory:

In life, Dottie was amateur seamstress to earn money as she pursued her costuming degree. As a college student, Dottie was an average student in most areas outside her discipline, except for drama.

Dottie was well-known for her love for all things kawaii culture and making plushies for her friends.

Due to her hobbies, Dottie ran in geeky/otaku circles during her life. Her best friend, Fern (she/her), was a professional cosplayer who often attended anime cons with Dottie.

Dottie was raised by her grandmother, Tabitha (she/her), after her parents died when she was 13.

The Embrace:

During a New Year's Eve rave out of state, Dottie was separated from Fern. Confused by the dancing crowd, Dottie bumped into a stranger who whispered in her ear. They felt overwhelmingly familiar, and Dottie followed them to the club's green room. The next night, Dottie woke up dazed and covered in blood, laying across an old couch. Desparately hungry and out of control, Dottie fed on a ghoul waiter who found her in the green room.

After the Embace:

Fortunately, Dottie was found and subdued by the vampire club owner, Phoenix (They/Them), before she could break the masquerade. Under the club owner, she learned the rules of undead life. She adjusted to vampric etiquette and began saving up money as a waitress.

Current day: Dottie was quickly promoted from whip to Toreador primogen of KC after her predecessor left the city. Dottie spends most of her time with her coterie, a rag-tag bunch of kindred outcasts who frequent their hecata friend's bar.

Current goal: Defeat the sabbatt cult leader who is plotting to take over KC.

Clan Hecata in Chile

In Chile the story of the Hecata is mostly about the Giovanni, with the occasional appearance of other branch families or maybe an adventurous Samedi. Multiple waves of european inmigration across the 19th and 20th centuries led some member of the clan to come to the country in search of new opportunities.

The Necromancer did not waste a moment to start making business around the conflicts between Camarilla, Anarchs and Sabbat, for them war is just another enterprise, one in which even death can mean profit.

The Family Reunion involved the return of the oldest Graverobbers to the Europe to keep with new responsabilities, leaving the younger as the new leaders of the domains and enterprises in Chile, accompanied with the new members of their reformed family.

In cities without proper Camarilla as Valparaiso the Hecata enjoy to play as the composed counterpart of the local anarchs, while in the domains of the Ivory Tower the Clan of Death takes a role more similar of the old chilean Sabbat, a cunning and discreet agent slowly hoarding power and money through business and politics in the mortal and kindred realms. Even in the most remote regions there are tales of small towns controlled by families of Hecata revenants.

But times are changing, their influence is not as great as 100 years ago, the Great Maelstorm and the disappearance of Augustus Giovanni were heavy blows. With the Promise of 1528 soon to end and with no true allies but their sibling bloodlines, the same ones who will stab each other's backs at the slightest opportunity, the clan Hecata is best described as a blade of obsidian; the sharpest one but also the most fragile, waiting to tear through everything and anyone the moments it shatters.
