the phrase "raises the boiling point" means the opposite of what it sounds like, to me. i'm always doing a the double read.

my specific "we didn't know how good we had it" was when the pool had perpetual $2 night swim and the grocery story was open an hour later than the pool closed. now i'm paying full price to get in the water and the grocery store closes before the staff can usher me back onto land.
