what brushes do you use?
To preface. I use clip paint for my art. These will be clip brushes. I also tend to play around a lot, so these aren't all the ones I've ever used.
For line art lately I've mainly been using this "A non-shin pen" set. I've also used "Gori ver. 2" a lot in the past. For when I'm doing backgrounds or something I want kinda gritty, this Freehand Style Brush Set is good. Mirre's crosshatch set is great.
For sketching, I tend to use brushes from Aj's Pencil Set the most. Mostly the The Remi Pencil and Aj's Gritty Sketcher. I've also used this pencil set, sometimes for painting too.
Speaking of painting, my most used brushes is this brush, this one too, DryClumps, and Smeared Paintbrush. I will often just straight up use default brushes too. Theres some good decent ones.
For misc brushes. I love to use Mirre's marker brushes. I use them so much for coloring. And I adore Fountain Brush by Sab and Croquis book + Fountain pen set 2. I would use them often just to doodle. You may have noticed I like to use halftones on my art. I've used Simple Retro Halftone Brushes for that.
They're paid brushes, but True Grit Supply brush sets are great and I make use of their brushes a lot. Rusty Nib is great for inking. Beat Tones is great for halftones. Chromagraph is great for pencils. Their free sampler pack has two brushes I use often called The Bleedy Nib and Jittery Inker.
Art from Kumari Loves a Monster by Rashmi Devadasan. Illustrated by Shyam.ย
โThe young maidens in these pages all have beauty, brains and talent / They while away the night and day / With monsters fierce and gallant.
ย A romantic picture book of young girls who have fallen in love with monsters.โ
Iโve reblogged this before and said this before but no, this is not some kind of rancid tiktok terfoid symbolism about men being terrible. The author just thought it was a cute concept. And โthis is all straight couplesโ is neither an original joke to put in the notes or a viable real opinion for a healthy adult to have
Kablammo!
Some random art of my favorite wasp, @putukspitsvenom.bsky.socialโs Kablammo ready to destroy you allโฆ or at least blow stuff up real good like.
Thank you so much for this!!!

GO BABY GO
I love this. I *love* this.
Not only does the child have the rhythm and their part down precisely, but also, they are clearly doing the very-small-child thing of reserving exactly nothing.
Children have to learn not to use all of the force they're capable of, adults mostly never use all of the force they are capable of, but here someone has given this child exactly the opportunity to use all of the force their body can produce, and do it musically.
The glee of that all-out effort in a context where clearly the people around them approve and appreciate their contribution? Amazing.
