GOOD. Because they don’t fucking work for most of the people who try them and are flat-out inappropriate or harmful to some. Nobody should be forced into a program that wastes their time and doesn’t help them.

my personal problem is that i fundamentally, irrevocably disagree with ange and the story's philosophy on the deepest level - i simply don't believe that sugarcoating the memories of the rotten ushiromiya legacy can ever be worth it, and I especially question the portrayal of it being the seemingly "healthier" option for her like that kind of painful reconciliation isn't a natural part of grief. what she ends up aiming for is incomprehensible to me as a decision, and I much prefer the trick route, with her throwing away her family's gift (the fact that the gift is specifically from kinzo being quite important too) and steering away from the past. at once acceptance of the tragedy and simultaneous "fuck you" to all of the doubt she'd held so far. queen shit. even with her questionable decisions. magic ending i find weak in comparison
this is all deeply colored by my worldview of course, but it's one that I am unable to separate myself from in this case
