my favoit is cow

@barin-mclegg / barin-mclegg.tumblr.com

I lob cow. As far as you know, 21 or older. He/it. I stand with my transmasc siblings. Yippee forever.

I think so many people live in this hateful reality where everyone is calling each other slurs n slinging insults and I think that's not a healthy place to stay.

I think we should acknowledge that language is complex and labels can apply to many people and mean many things and that acceptance and trust in the good of others is really important to living a sustainable life.

Anyway, intersex people deserve a place in the rainbow, nonbinary people aren't binary, transmascs and trans men are trans and masc/men, polyamorous people should be free to love as they wish, and we should all dance in the rain and die happy about it (eventually, please not yet)

I'm putting the word "exotic" on top of the refrigerator yall can't be trusted. we live in a global world, no more using "exotic" to refer to things that are locally familiar to many people who are simply not in your area

"clam chowder is an exotic soup" is a true statement for the vast majority of human beings on this planet

from now on exotic should refer to like. newly discovered and undiscovered species. exotic mites are flourishing in my backyard

reminds me of this plant we used to have in texas that was exclusively on one property and the fringes of its fence line when i was raised on a farm

no idea what the hell it was. goats went insane for it. looked like a brown version of milk thistle but clearly wasn't poisonous; they literally prioritized eating it over everything else. got super crunchy when it dried out into a husk. didn't sting.

we called it goatweed and lo and behold when a botanist was called to identify it they'd never seen it before. took samples and asked us what we called it. those samples may be the last remnants because the goats went out of their way to eat as much of it as possible and i have no idea if that plant is extinct now :(

I. I need SO many more details about the Exotic Mystery Goatweed Driven To Extinction By Local Goat Herd

Very funny that the 2 lasting legacies of BBC Sherlock is the big jumpstart of Hbomberguy's career and people going "I am not an alcoholic" everytime they miss the charging port on their phone

porn artists getting treated as below sfw artists is so funny to me considering the dude who is the grandfather of anime drew furry TF porn in his spare time for fun.

i hope he knows this art is extremely revolutionary

NSFW art is important. kink is important lmao

no, SEXUAL EXPRESSION WITHIN ART IS IMPORTANT. Better wording

I personally see myself as being judged as not good queer rep, as aroace who dates, "feminine" trans, "emotionless" trope, alien/robot/outsider coded, etc.

This poll is because i am often thinking about characters that are considered bad rep, but I know people in real life are LIKE THAT and identity is messy! In my opnion bad queer rep would be the ones that are shown or touched upon on screen. Idk, just wondering.

Edit: lmao i wrote hood isntead of good and tumblr didnt let me edit

probably not. as transgender representation because i haven't "transitioned enough" and there were no super obvious signs of gender variance, let alone dysphoria, before i came out. i use a specific and uncommon label for my gender, i talk a lot about exorsexism, both of which people think is "unrealistic". i'm neurodivergent, which means of course i couldn't possibly know what gender i am. for most of my journey, i was isolated and not surrounded by other queers at all, which apparently is also "unrealistic". in some ways i'm the nonbinary stereotype which people would be mad about. i've been with my partner, a cisgender person who considers themself het with me as the exception, since before i've come out.

Too much going on, the perisex cisallohet peeps (at least those that aren't allies deep in this shit wouldn't get me

I've seen such a spike in use of rhetoric around the word "theyfab" as more and more trans "allies" use it to describe someone they dislike. It's so incredibly lonely and makes me unwelcome in trans spaces when I see people talk like that. Idk. I just want a community

I went to an exhibition on the history of migration and colonial rhetoric in Australia and it really helped me to pinpoint my exact issue with the way non-Australians (and. tbh. some aussies) talk about this country

this map is a piece of propaganda from 1921. honestly what shocked me about it was how little of Australia is marked out as “uninhabited”. I have seen maps shared around on this website that basically mark out the entirety of non-coastal Australia as “empty”. fucking colonialists from 1921 were more generous than some of you

the history of colonial Australia is a history of “taming the untameable land”. this has been reinforced through narratives that this country is:

  • inherently dangerous
  • uninhabitable
  • empty

this rhetoric survives in both the way Australia is imagined by non-Australians and in the self-image of Australia. the (white) aussie battler conquers the unconquerable. the outback is imagined as a post-apocalyptic hellscape. our fauna is categorised as uniquely hellish and unwieldy. so when non-Australians make joke after joke about how scared they are of this place. well you can imagine why it fills me with the kind of rage that can only be generated by the understanding that You Are Reinforcing Colonialism

I have a suggestion

Anonymous asked:

This is a niche phenomenon that people try to frame as supportive of nonbinary folk, but.

when, looking for brownie points, person A shames person B as sexist for not being attracted to say, agender people, but person A would never even consider shaming somebody for not being attracted to binary men or women because those are the real genders.

this is exorsexism.

exactly, like what is implied by this is very much that if someone is for example only attracted to women, they're by extension also attracted to at least some agender people, because people will see some agender people as women lite. this is why i'm wary of who is saying "nonbinary people are included in all orientations".

acknowledging attraction to nonbinary people and acknowledging non-attraction to nonbinary people are considered equally bad because both mean that the person is explicitly acknowledging nonbinary people's existence, whereas people think we should just blend in with binary people already.
