your belief that there is a certain class of entities that are inherently wicked and will always seek to break the law for their own benefits was not entirely wrongheaded, you just had the bad luck to be born before the advent of Fortune 500 companies
I just think that a man who could chase one minor felon across twenty plus years and multiple cities would be perfectly suited to chasing a trail of money through multiple shell companies as a board tries to duck criminal prosecution through bankruptcies while retaining the assets within the parent zaibatsu

this is such a profoundly stupid thing to be mad about but. i periodically think about how banksy made one of my single favorite pieces of art of all time, and everything else he's ever done has sucked. man, how did you nail it once
It's this piece, titled The Banality of the Banality of Evil. Because on first glance, you're like. Yeah, okay, it's obvious what it's saying. Even nazis, even evil people can appreciate beauty, too. But then you learn its name, and suddenly the interpretation shifts a bit. The idea that evil is banal has in itself become banal. my first response to seeing a nazi on a bench is "oh it's about the banality of evil" and not "jesus christ there's a nazi on the bench."
and like. i dunno i think that's a really interesting way for a title to recontextualize a piece. it's finding nuance by tearing out the nuance you want to project onto it. it's not the greatest piece of art ever made, but i'd be lying if i said i didn't have a huge soft spot for it

as a former escape room host i highly recommend doing an escape room as a first date. its a great way to learn how ppl react under pressure and how well they collaborate with you right off the bat. also more than once ive seen people enter an escape room as a couple and exit broken up LOL its a fantastic litmus test
sorry to broadcast ur tags but this is also a valuable part of the litmus test! it seems like you learned a lot about how this person makes you feel in their social group. they didn't go out of their way to include you, and neither did their friends. therefore you can come to a pretty good conclusion about how you might feel being part of their life outside of an escape room; someone who doesnt include you or your feelings in a game is likely going to do the same in other situations

Every fictional woman who has a bunch of intense and deeply meaningful interpersonal relationships with other women, but is only ever shown in romantic or sexual relationships with men is intentionally being portrayed as bisexual. That's really the only reasonable way to interpret that particular media trend. I feel so silly for not thinking of it before but I've never heard of bisexuality until this exact second
