“You tell yourself, ‘I want eggs,’ but explain to me what this ‘I’ is that you speak of? Can you point to it? Of course not. ‘I’ is a prison you’ve built for yourself. So long as you live within the ‘I,’ you live in a perpetual dream. Only when we dissolve this ‘I’ can we extinguish all of the terrible clinging and instead start living authentically in the realm of awakened life.” At press time, Trump had concluded by noting that it was thus that his Liberation Day tariffs were the path to freeing oneself from the karmic wheel of samsara.
what if instead of having a fake name for internet personal-life purposes we could have a fake name for professional work-life purposes
fantasy culture where you have a different name for every role in your life and a true name that is extremely secret

coming from someone who used to sweat buckets over saving and spending 45 bucks on a new video game as a teenager i cannot fucking believe nintendo has the audacity to charge 90 (ninety) (as many as nine tens, and that’s terrible) mother fucking dollars for their new games. if i had a 90 dollar game on my christmas list as a kid my mom would have broken me in half
really fucking severe weather is underway for much of the united states. here is a snippet of how the national weather service describes what is happening right now. the contents of this link may change in the future. this was posted april 3rd, 2025.
...Life-threatening, catastrophic, and potentially historic flash flood event continues across the Lower Ohio Valley and Mid-South to Lower Mississippi Valley...
some places are expected to get a foot or more of rain. this is not being described as catastrophic lightly.
these are storms that are expected to continue producing damaging thunderstorms and tornadoes. the combination of needing to seek shelter from these storms as low as you can go in combination with the risk of flash flooding makes this situation especially deadly.
look at this map. this is weather.gov, and that map shows you where flooding and severe weather is expected or happening. but this map takes a while to update, and these storms may change by the second. in addition to precautions that you should be taking, there is one channel I think everyone needs to know about right now.
ryan hall is a streamer that covers severe weather without commercials or interruptions. his team is often able to spot tornadoes and worsening weather before warnings get issued and before you may receive official word to take shelter.
he does not have a major livestream for every severe weather event though and do note though that he displays livestreams of storms, so the stream often contains flashing due to lightning.
I have really been impressed with his coverage, and just by watching his streams I have been able to tell people I know to take cover many minutes before sirens go off. these storms over the next few days are going to continue to be really bad. those few extra minutes can be life or death.
if you like what ryan hall and his team do, do what I am doing and share his channel with others. television weather coverage has gone to shit recently and a lot of people do not watch the news anymore and have no idea severe weather is coming until it might be too late to fully prepare. ryan hall does amazing work.
