okay but what do you think would happen if rockstar Lestat collabed w Dolly Parton? maybe he'd like use his vampire nails as an instrument. maybe he would like go to Dollywood for a press event and fly up to surprise lone passengers on rollercoasters to feed on them and then act like it was somehow a problem with the seatbelts and create a news scandal and maybe Daniel would be the journalist on the case, investigating it like Shawn Spencer from Psych (autism style).

Lestat would do a cover of joline and make it about armand.

”Armand, Armand, Armand, Armaaaand! I’m begging of you please don’t take my man!”

(In the book verse he barely has to change the lyrics at all)

Still going through Perforated Heart. I really like it, but I often need to pause for a day, because no amount of fanfiction could prepare me for passages like this:

I said, “I think kielbasa is Polish not Ukrainian. What’s a vole?”
John said, “A vole is like a gerbil. Smaller. Easier to insert.”
I said, “Insert where?”
John said, “Into the lower colon. Use a tube. Put the gerbil in a rubber glove. Insert into anus. Allow small mammal to go exploring. Stimulates the prostate.”
I said, “Whose prostate?”

There's much more going on beside crazy kink talk, but believe me, it's everywhere in the book, and only gets crazier.

It’s a great book but it sure takes you places.

Apprentices in Rome (Marius' painting)

If anyone is curious about the painting. It's based on Raphael's fresco The School of Athens (painted between 1509 and 1511).

In the show, it's only visible for a second on Daniel's laptop.

And yes, there is a version of The School of Athens in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Once again, I am in awe of the attention to detail in the show.
