IWTV and The Talamasca filming locations
The map for IWTV S2 is now as complete as it can be. I've also added the locations for S1. I'm no expert on NOLA though, so if I've missed anything please let me know. As production began on The Talamasca, I started adding locations for it to the map as well. I'm a bit sceptical about the show, but I enjoy looking for updates, so I'll continue to do so.
And of course I can't wait for IWTV S3 to start filming!

it's already humiliating when you get into new media, take one look at a character, and know that one's gonna be living in your head indefinitely, but it's absolutely nothing compared to looking at a character and thinking eh i don't think i'd ever have strong feelings about that one he's kinda boring and then he sits quietly in the back of your brain poking idly at synapses and thoughts every once in a while until one day you wake up and realise oh. oh fuck. category 5 blorbo moment, how the ever loving fuck did this happen to me
Okay apparently there was a whole thing last year of someone talked to Chris Stack after seeing him Stereophonic and he said he was invited to film IWTV s3 in April, but he couldn't because of another project, which we now know is Stereophonic's West End run beginning in May. So multiple thoughts. For one, that seems to confirm at least some Nola flashbacks, since I doubt they'd only film one or two and have him be in one, though of course anything's possible. I figured there would be Nola flashbacks but it's cool to have some strong suggestion that there might be several. And maybe now he can do it! Since the filming would be happening when the show is running rather than in rehearsals. I also wonder if filming was initially supposed to BEGIN in April, or if it was beginning earlier and he was just being brought in in April? Maybe it suggests filming was supposed to start earlier, since if they film the episodes in order, you'd think Nola flashbacks might be in the second half of the season, at least. Plus there was what that person told you about Sam being on call to start filming by February, though I wonder if that was definitely to start filming or that he was on call to work on other things. If they were supposed to start filming in April, then April to June is not a big shooting difference. Though I guess even Feb 1 to early or mid-June isn't a HUGE difference, it's four months, so...who knows! And of course we don't REALLY know how long it takes them to make the show, they've never had a "normal" production season, so that doesn't tell us that much. Hmm.
That's super interesting about Chris Stack, anon, and if it's true, definitely seems to imply that there are going to be a few NOLA flashbacks, which deeeelights me, haha.
I actually don't think the person I know was wrong? I deleted my original post about it for y'know. Reasons. But the producer I know had spoken to his Aus agent, who said Sam wouldn't be available due to IWTV from end of Jan/the start of Feb at the latest, which - given it seems like he's been in America since the first week of Feb recording and rehearsing - has been true? I think I might have misinterpreted that (full disclaimer!), to be about filming, but that could be a Sophie Fuck Up as opposed to the person I know being wrong, because they were asking in the context of his schedule to film something else, not to know the schedule for the show.
But yeah! I guess we'll find out soon enough given April's literally tomorrow, haha.

I’m sure someones already said this but I often see Tumblr described as a hellsite. This is fundamentally incorrect.
Tumblr is the faesite. Everybody is super confused and lost, you keep running into random places. Somehow you end up stuck there forever after interacting a couple of times. The people are all strange, everybody simultaneously seems to be from the future and the past as if time is meaningless.

My favorite thing about book DM is how Armand and Daniel essentially start dating each other a year in with all the essential steps included in that. They go on a dinner date and go to the theater. Armand asks Daniel’s opinion on deep questions like what causes war and what happens after you die. Daniel asks Armand about his history. Armand warns him ahead of time about a fire in the inn he’d been sleeping in and bails him out jail. Armand also regularly gives Daniel like a ton of money for no reason. Daniel weeps when Armand is gone for months.
And all of this happens…before Daniel realizes Armand is no longer planning on eventually eating him.
And Daniel likely didn’t realize this that long after Armand did.
sad reality of the fanfic-to-published work economy is that the weirdest people are willing to do it. that's why there's now hundreds of shitty no plot cishet hate-to-love enemies-to-lovers books that are ex reylo fanfic. and it's not even good. that's because the people who wrote book-quality steve/bucky and kirk/spock fic are too normal to think to themselves "i should get this porn published". they're too busy working in local government offices

The Dubai apartment is depressing for so many symbolic reasons but also because Armand gives off the energy that he should have trinkets everywhere.
If he were allowed to actually relax in a relationship (or get as close as he’s physically able to) I feel like he would just have stuff everywhere. He takes up every conceivable hobby there is and either sticks with it for ages or loses interest in a week. The Devil’s Minion chapter backs this up I feel. He is both a magpie attracted to shiny objects and a crow who brings ‘gifts’ to Daniel.
I want to see Armand not worrying about meticulously curating and micromanaging the absolute fuck out of his relationship and instead collecting weird shit that he just leaves lying on every surface, and then maybe one day he snaps and throws all of it out but only to make room for his latest fixation, or maybe Daniel tries to convince him to move some of it but he can’t bear to part with any of it.
His purchase history on the app story is batshit and Daniel is answering the door every five minutes to collect another Amazon parcel. Armand leaves shit all over the floor just outside of their coffins because he swears need to have it within arm’s reach. He’s buying the same exact items in multiple colours because he needs to but he also has a serious issue with object permanence so whenever something is no longer within his line of sight, he forgets it exists. Thank god Daniel is a vampire already because the number of times he’s tripped over random things lying on the ground probably would’ve killed him already if he were still alive. I need to see Armand letting his freak flag fly but specifically regarding his weird hyperfixations.
There’s also something very sweet and uncharacteristically innocent about his childlike habits because the safety and security he would feel with Daniel, despite being much more powerful than him, would imply that he’s able to regress just a little to being the child he was never allowed to really be.
