Another update

Hey there everyone, there's no easy way to say this - I found out last month that I have advanced cancer. I'm recovering from a full hysterectomy and also undergoing chemo/radiation treatment. This all came as a huge shock to me as I've never had any major health issues before now. I don't know what the future will hold or when I'll get back to writing, but I wanted to let all of my readers know how much I appreciate every one of you. Please keep me in your thoughts and hopefully by the summer I'll be stronger and back on my feet.  :)

Wow the weather forecast wasn’t kidding when they said the “Arctic blast” would be hitting my area around 8:00 this morning. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such a rapid temperature change in such a short amount of time before. I was walking out of the grocery store this morning when the cold front literally blew in. The temp went from above freezing (light jacket) to below freezing (winter coat)in a matter of minutes. O_o. I guess winter in Texas.

I’m just glad I got all my errands done and I’m off for a few days. 😁. Stay safe everyone

@dangit-jacques​ I’m in the same boat, or bed rather.^^ My mom’s cats have been glued to my side and as soon as I sit or lay down they are on me like glue. Makes getting up to go to the bathroom difficult when you have two pairs of eyes glaring reproachfully at you, lol.^^

Extended Fan-made Cut of Inspector Gadget (1999)

The amazing Slayer Santiago made an extended cut of the movie featuring lots of deleted scenes and some photos. He also added effects and music from the IG1983 to preserve the spirit of the original series. He did such a great job, you just have to see it.

He also made remixed versions of the movie theme and ‘I’ll Be Your Everything’, be sure to check them out too.

THE THREE MUSKETEERS Trailer 4K (2023) Eva Green, Vincent Cassel

This looks amazing, and from what I can gather a closer adaptation to the novel. The cast looks stunning and while I love the BBC version of the musketeers this looks just as amazing. Plus they’re splitting it into two parts. Can’t wait to see this.

What I’m thankful for...

A bit late, I know, but I’m feeling much better today and wanted to post some positivity with all the craziness going on in the world right now. 

I’m grateful for:

Being alive.

My mother - without her I don’t know what I’d do right now.

My job and my coworkers.

My friends.

My readers and followers on this crazy Inspector Gadget obsession of mine.^^

All of the new people I’ve met on Tumblr.

Being able to have a cup of coffee in the morning.

My mom’s cats, who despite being mostly people-hating have decided to make camp in my bedroom while I recover from surgery.^^

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey everyone! I’m at home healing and resting after major surgery and I just wanted to wish everyone out there a safe and relaxing holiday! Whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving I hope you’re staying safe and warm, especially with this crazy weather we’re having! I also wanted to give a big “thank you” to all my readers and followers - I’m still writing as it’s a nice distraction and I hope to get some more things posted with the holiday break coming up.

Update

Hey guys, if you could send any positive vibes/prayers/thoughts my way that’d be appreciated. I had another CT scan a few days ago and I have a large cyst on my ovary, which explains the constant pain I’ve been having. I have another doctor’s appointment on Monday so wish me luck.  :(

I actually keep my Halloween decor up all through November since November is considered the month of the dead in a lot of cultures. I was raised Catholic and even though I’m not religious now that I’m grown I do love the idea of All Saints and All Souls’ Day. So for me Halloween kicks off an entire month of remembering the dead/spooky stuff.  :)

Or, I just want a reason to celebrate Halloween a while longer (that, and I’m not ready in any way for the Christmas madness to start!).

You may not see his face, but you know his gloves and voice! Dr Claw, the ever, mysterious, devious, and menacing mad genius and leader of the MAD Organization, seeks one thing: total world domination! Yet, despite all his planning, resources, and agents, he’s always getting thwarted by the bumbling INTERPOL cyborg: INSPECTOR GADGET (and Gadget’s niece Penny and dog Brain)!! One can’t help but wonder if, constantly having your schemes somehow be undone by a buffoon and his family, isn’t having a increasingly negative effect on the mad doctor’s already disturbed temperament!
