Have you ever looked closely at a car windshield?
The edge of the glass is painted where it is glued to the car but it has these small dots between the clear and painted glass.
These are there for a reason. When the sun hits the glass the painted areas and the clear areas will absorb heat at different rates. This causes the glass to expand and contract differently putting stress on the glass.
These dots help the glass to warm up more evenly over a larger area so the glass does not suffer stress that could cause it to spontaneously explode.
Fun fact: the Tesla cybertruck doesnโt have these.

Crazy or stupid au idea, but what if. Modern world, but Grian and Joel are sole survivors (out of 50) of a killing survival game social experiment they were kidnapped for.
I replied but I'm going to reblog because I'm having ideas now.
Basically my conception for dynamic is very last life for the two of them. They made it out via kinda going crazy in the process, an alliance initially made of convenience that ends up with them being the only two left with anything in common with each other and grappling with the intense PTSD but also violent tendencies and bloodlust they both developed during the game ad they try to be people again
Like I'm thinking a lot about the aftermath here because like how do you cope with the fact that you liked it? And you survived because you liked killing, but the person you're with also liked the killing!
But also being in the middle of it and also, idea, falling in love with someone as you realize you're both so fucking deranged together, seeing your partner in crime covered in blood and realizing you want nothing more than to kiss them.
But then you're out of the blood bath. You out and you realize that the only person who can at all understand what you want through is that same person. But you were also that person.
