Hi fun fact, colors do have meaning and there is a legit thing called color theory. Red does has more positive connotations than negative like the @mintymaiden said. Red is associated with more love, lust, passion than blood and death just like the chart shows you but If you want, here’s a link for you to check it out yourself. I like that the presumption here is that “No One On Tumblr Has Heard of Color Theory, Let Me Explain in Depth” rather than simply acknowledging that the VISUAL EFFECTS of this particular color choice, applied in the manner it was, can still amount to “this is a hospital and that looks like blood”
like, color theory doesn’t exist in a vacuum. If your design of choice for Blood Red Paint is asymmetric splatters and sploches against the wall, or in this case, a snail trail on the hallway’s floor, an infographic won’t override the viewers’ instinct.

Edit: A couple of people have asked me to not convict Mangione in my post, and they're right. Mangione has been arrested on gun charges, not for the murder, and regardless of the charge he obviously hasn't been convicted yet. It's too soon to lay Brian Thompson on his head. I've modified the post to reflect that.
That said, what I've said here applies to whoever the killer is. As the media circus plays out, a lot of talking heads will be pulling out all stops to remind us to hate each other, not the insurance CEOs. Do not fall for their tricks!
yeah that's another thing he actually caused them to undo that horrifying HORRIFYING plan for anesthesia, so he already had a positive effect beyond merely removing that one CEO. Hey y’all, I keep finding myself having my work reposted by larger gimmick accounts without attribution and wanted to put a reminder out there that all of these pieces are my original work. It’s mostly just a minor nuisance rather than serious infringement but it is getting a little tiresome

Art is my only source of income as I am disabled and currently do not have access to accessible and sustainable employment+not eligible for SSI, so having my work attributed correctly to me is a huge help to building an art career thats more livable for me
I plan to offer prints and maybe start a Patreon on the future so people have more tangible means of supporting me, but until then getting the word out there that this is my work would be really cool since these images have gone so viral. (I have a kofi tip jar as well, but don’t feel obligated!)
In case someone gets on my case for having not signed my work, all three of these are very early pieces of mine and I didn’t really expect them to get so much attention and by the time they took off it was a bit too late to put the genie back in the bottle lmao. Very hindsight is 20/20 sort of thing… that and I’ve had a couple instances of my signatures getting cropped or edited out anyway 🤷♂️

Okay, so there's something of a discrepancy between how Slowpoke tails are treated by the Pokémon franchise. Initially, it was understood that these are a tasty, unethical luxury item, starting in Gold/Silver/Crystal and mirrored in Heartgold/Soulsilver:
The whole plot here is that Team Rocket has taken the Slowpoke in the Azalea Slowpoke Well and chopped their tails off to sell on the black market. These run for a whopping 1,000,000 PD a pop ($10k in USD).
But then, in later generations, it's said that Slowpoke tails fall off naturally. In fact, they're a crucial part of both Alolan AND Galarian cuisine:
The curry ingredient even sells for a measly 2,200 PD ($22 USD).
So what gives? Why is it a Million-Poké black market item when you can get a package off your local hiker?

I am back from Moana 2. Spoiler free initial thoughts:
While I don't think it was as bad as I thought it would be it also was not what I would call good? It was okay. I think the setup/lore is not very well thought out and it just expects us to accept a lot of it cuz things are happening. They really needed to spend more time worldbuilding. The songs aren't as memorable, but there were one or two that I think are solid. I think there are too many characters and literally Moana's crew is just a copy and paste of Buzz Lightyear's crew from Lightyear. Just as I predicted.
You could really tell though that this was meant to be a series. The narrative flow of it was not as smooth for a movie and I can break up each part as if it was "ah and now this is an episode and this is an episode." At some point I also felt like 'this feels like a video game level and I am meeting an NPC that just directs me to the next section.' So that wasn't great. I'm ngl there were some parts where I was bored or felt like it dragged on too long.
But what we ARE eating GOOD though is all that DELICIOUS Moana and Maui content. Their relationship and interactions are so sweet and when they're reunited again it's literally like seeing two puzzle pieces fit back together and they are well oiled machine. They worked so well together that it kind of makes painfully obvious that we didn't really need the other characters at all. Seeing them and their maturing dynamic was worth it alone.
Overall it was. Okay. I am still kind of nervous where they plan to take this franchise now cuz it's clear they want to do more. And why wouldn't they, Moana is probably the only few things keeping Disney afloat from their mediocrity streak. Did this break the streak? I can't really say it did, but it wasn't a bad time. Not like Wish or Frozen 2 was a bad time. But the possibility of seeing more Moana and Maui adventures is still a bit exciting.

yeah this is exactly how it felt for me, i WISH it could've turned into a series, or will in the future, it wasn't like the best but it certainly wasn't what everybody was exaggerating about, it was fun to see how the characters matured and changed, and honestly i loved the addition of moanas little sister (there are NOT enough well represented sibling dynamics as there should be, esp with a HUGE age difference), i kinda wish that they just put the time in to help the timeframe consistencies, and maybe bake their songs a littllle longer... (disneys songs have NOT been catching up to pace recently and it's REALLY showing..) anyways yeah it wasn't super bad, i hope any future installations will have enough time and care from disney to really make it shine again
