37 || Non-binary transmasculine - they/them or he/him || I'm a video game addict, a lover of animation, a tech nerd, and I like to dabble in drawing || Currently playing - FFXIV A Realm Reborn (PC), Dark Souls 2 remaster (PS4) || I'm always looking for people to play with! Check out my drawings @casfresart!

I spent some time debating whether to make more art, after an inland hurricane dropped a tree on my house, puncturing the ceiling immediately above my workspace. Was it... a sign? An angry Gaia demanding that I stop at once?

Or maybe not. I took a few months away from art, and thought I'd do some line work to get back in the game.

This sketch was inspired by the various moments in Rick and Morty (one of my comfort shows) where the two of them are floating above some violent planetary chaos, untouched in the relative safety of their bubble. Sometimes I crave the safety of the cruiser bubble. Sometimes I feel like I have it, but it's hard to trust it.

Maybe that's really what that falling tree was telling me: trust your bubble, lest you manifest it punctured.

It literally strikes me dumb how completely disconnected people are, especially family members.

I made a comment to my sister about how my rights and Healthcare are being stolen from me and she looks me dead in the eye and says "Well you can still be you"

What in the literal fuck amiright?

Anyway... sorry your fam doesn't get it either sis <3

My friend works two jobs and doesn’t tend to specify which one he’s talking about, so he’ll say stuff like “a lady died at work today” and the rest of us have to play a fun little game called Nursing Home Or Yankee Candle.

Today he goes “someone threw a candle at me at work >:(” and I think I can finally reliably pin down one of his anecdotes but nope! It was the wretched nursing home!!!!!

Like a half hour after taking pain relief meds: oh actually it doesnt hurt anymore i probably didnt even need to take those
