When someone does something good, we applaud them. Even if you hate that person, otherwise why should they ever bother trying to be a 'better person". Especially if when they are being a better person, you give them shit for it, you are disincentivizing them from becoming better.

I remember reading this, feeling that it was true, and knowing it was unfair. As a kid, I didn't expect to end up living in a world where the 50 boots still end up having cardboard soles, because the GOOD boots are now 250, and fuck you, what did you expect for 50- when 50 is still a massive chunk of what you got paid.
And because of social media you're aware that the 10 boots you COULD get on the internet are made by child labor and only bad people buy them.

Despite numerous reports of racial bias, evidence tampering/mishandling, and incentivizing witnesses to testify on behalf of the prosecution.
Despite the opposition of the death penalty by the victim’s family.
Despite the objections of numerous human rights groups, religious leaders, and the prosecutors office itself.
Despite all of that, Gov. Parson’s denied clemency to Marcellus Williams yesterday.
The final hope to save Marcellus Williams before he is unjustly murdered by the state of Missouri is a last-minute intervention by the US Supreme Court, which is very, very unlikely to happen.
This is unconscionable and the most egregious violation of fundamental human rights. This is callous disregard for human life and state-sanctioned murder. This is how systemic racism continues to actively harm and murder Black and Brown people in this country.
Please continue to make as much noise as possible to help save Marcellus Williams. It’s not too late.

The prosecutor’s office that convicted and sentenced him to death has now admitted they were wrong and zealously fought to undo the conviction and save Mr. Williams’ life.
