behold!!! the cover reveal for COLDWIRE is here!!!

the gorgeous artwork is by Sean + Eve (there.is.studio) and this is the cyberpunk cover of my dreams. Coldwire is my first foray into the futuristic, into a world where the cities are online and neon and throwing explosives at big corps (I suppose that’s just Nik), and I am so excited for this book to be in the world… November 4th, 2025 😁

until then, People Magazine has revealed the cover alongside the synopsis—at last, meet Eirale and Nik, and Lia and Kieren

I know what you are (a clace fan)

LMAOOOO

I just want to thank you for all of the wonderful representation you’ve given us in Rosalind and Alisa (and also Benedikt but idk if he’s canon). A lot of us on here are on the aro/ace spectrums, and it means the world to us 💜

🥹!!! It means the world to me that I get to write this because the teen me who was reading would have killed to have the representation!!! Thank you for saying that!!!

(Benedikt is most definitely canon) (Honestly ace spectrum rep is just my default, I have to try really hard to be writing the allos, looking at you Orion)

Chloe, is Flesh and False Gods #3 a 2025 or 2026 release?! Asking for a friend….

2026! at the moment my publisher has it tentatively slated for the early summer, but it'll depend on when I actually finish writing it hahahah—

you would do numbers with a pride and prejudice adaptation

i appreciate that, anon

pride & prejudice & zombies is one of my favorite movies of all time so i feel like the best adaptation title has been taken though but mayhap we can let this cook

Who would win in a fight, Calla or Juliette?

Avatar

Oh my god, Calla without question

Juliette relies a lot on people being scared of her to keep most opps back and even though she's skilled I feel like Calla is just on a level of being insane... of course if the interdimensional portal put Calla and Juliette in one universe hopefully they would be like two black cats tentatively making an alliance but I once described Calla as "Juliette if she was never loved and also possibly on drugs" because I was working with the same archetype with these two, just in two very different universes 😀

my biggest proof that i was a tumblr user before i was a professional on any other platform is that i have this url, idk why or what i'm going to use it for it just felt right to claim before i even finished publishing all the books

vilest things tour and the gifts that come by preordering!!!

first: my comedy act in person if you're in new york, boston, chicago, austin, san diego, or portland.... join us for discussion about behind-the-scenes tomfoolery + ask your questions + get your books signed!! all tickets are available here ‼️

second: all US preorders, which includes tour tickets, which includes your B&N orders, your local independent bookstore orders etc etc etc will come with a royal blue Mao Mao tote bag (as pictured) while supplies last so fill in the form on that same page to claim yours!

and finally: preorder art print by @artbysmashley!!! this gorgeous print is an incentive via Astoria Bookshop, which means it's open within the US and internationally so long as Astoria Bookshop ships to your country!!! you can also request the book to be SIGNED and PERSONALIZED however you wish, past requests have included drawing the characters at christmas or doing a dance by the kpop group bts (idk where that came from either)

note: the art print will be available on the tour stops as well!

Chloe Gong all I’m saying is that you should at least ask your publishers for the FAFG book 3 release date to be September 16th. Because that’s my birthday. And it would be a wonderful gift

@chloegong Giving this another shot

fafg3 is slated in spring 2026 alas!!! but coldwire is expected for september 2025 so mayhap a gift from my publisher is on the horizon (no promises though, they do what they like, any ask from me goes to the void 💀)

THE COUNTDOWN HAS IN FACT ENDED and I did very much enjoy the live self-gaslighting happening while people tried to figure out if the lines were actually disappearing every hour

I am bouncing up the walls with excitement to announce that my next YA is on the way—not one, not two, but ✨three✨ upcoming books!!! COLDWIRE is the expansive, futuristic world I’ve adored creating in secret, and I can’t wait to share more soon… Mark your calendars for Fall 2025 🫶🏻

Follow up question, what would happen if Rosalind's head was cut off? What if someone held it on afterwards? Would it have healed? Would she have ended up okay?

I'm kind of obsessed with how specific this goes,,, honestly I think a head-chop means she'd be a goner 💀 Like Rosalind wasn't actually immortal per se, she just seals up really fast, and her head getting lopped off probably means the blood is going faster than she'd heal. Like maybe if it was a girl-with-the-green-ribbon type situation and she only had a razor cut all the way through and the head stayed really pressed to her neck to stanch the blood she'd be okay? But otherwise even when she got her throat slashed she was like oh god am I going to seal up before I bleed out so we'd need Orion on stand-by holding her like an unmoving bobblehead in this hypothetical to keep her life.

Should people tag you here/on Instagram when they post art related to your books/characters?

I'm on Instagram and TikTok most—that's the place to tag for me to see it!!! I'm here on the occasion when things come in (like now, I like that you guys saw me appear and came in to ask more HAHA) and I try to check across platforms as much as I can but sometimes I miss things if notifications overwhelm it so I'm a supporter of spam-tagging until I see it 🤪

Hiii, Chloe. I love your books, and I have a very stupid curiosity question. What would happen is someone cut off one of Rosalind's limbs while she had her healing/immortality thing going? Would she have grown it back like a starfish? Would she have only healed around it being missing? Would it heal if it was held on?

Great question, LADY HONG!!! Just kidding, no really, great question in the pursuit of science—by the rules that Rosalind understood, if she held the limb exactly where it was, it would have sealed back up, but if it fell somewhere onto the street she'd just stop bleeding and the wound would close without the limb. It's like how she knew she couldn't survive her head being shot point-blank because she can't grow her splattered brains back, but she can hold everything together if she gets stabbed in the guts.

It's a metaphor, and all that. That which stays can always heal. That which goes is gone.
