I can't even finish my first chapter, let alone series.

I am a perfectionist of the highest order, and am displeased by the most tiny blemishes and imperfections, physically incapable of being satisfied with even the flawless simply because of the name it was given.

That's understandable. I'm the same way. I've got tons of WIPs of both writing ideas, unfinished chapters, and artwork. And don't get me started on my arts and crafts projects. AND OH BOY DO I SUBMIT ASSIGNMENTS LATE.

I think perfectionism is a good thing. It makes people strive for unreachable goals, to avoid every flaw. We'll never reach that goal and we'll run into bumps, and we'll burn out if we try too hard. But that strive lets us grow further. It's more of a drive than if you're happy where you are or just want to improve some things, perfectionist constantly want to do better in everything. And that drive is beautiful. The only thing is to take breaks and look back briefly every once and a while to remind yourself how far you've come and the guilty of your work in the past, no it's not perfect, it might not even be good, but it was a step. Sometimes you have to push forward on those imperfect steps, keep them so you can keep going forward, they're not perfect but the next one might be closer.

I still haven't finished the literal first assignment of the year.

MY PROJECT HAS NOT LEFT BRAINSTORM PHASE. I've got a couple scattered notes and an outline in need of heavy revisory and THAT"S IT.

wait until I tell you how it took me six years to come up with an original name for my series, and it's literally just a description of the cosmology.

It took my 4 years to actually write down one of the ideas for a my book. And it still doesn't have a name. Just the basis of plot. I think I'm on the right track to it taking six years at least XD

I started when I was 13

I'm now 21, and still don't have the first chapter finished.

Man, it's going to be rough me then cause I'm nowhere near your level and it still took you that long.
