Behold! A bunch of random shit!

Howdy Tumblr, I have risen from the void and still don't know what I'm doing! Anyways, are intro posts a thing? I dunno. It's happening. So, here's a quick summary of me:

~Hi! I am CirqueDeCelestia, but you can call me Cirque, Celestia, CC, or whatever nickname you've come up with and I'm ok with

~I am An Adult™, and am cool with any pronouns (all neos too.) ((I'm genderqueer))

~I do art sometimes

~I'm probably going to reblog stuff for the most part, but my art & other original stuff goes to cirquedumoi ^^

~I like a bunch of stuff, but generally lean towards Hermitcraft, Transformers (g1 mostly-), Creepypasta & the overall Slenderverse, The Legend of Zelda, Vocaloid, and others. What I like at a given point can fluctuate lmao-

~I have my boundaries, I will make them known when needed / requested and ask that you respect them

~For my tags (applicable all my blogs), there's #☆cirque reblog☆ for things I've reblogged & added to (post itself or tags), #☆cirque art☆ for art I've made, #☆cirque writes☆ for stuff I've written, ☆cirque answers☆ for any asks I get, and #☆cirque stuff☆ for anything else I've come up with.

~I'm just here to vibe?

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

Support real artists ☀️

its just embarrassing when you make a fandom related post and it doesnt get any notes like okay. so no one want to play tuoys with me. no one wants to play with our little guys together. okay thats fine. yeah its cool... puts my hands in my jacket pockets. kicks a beer can that was on the side of the road a little

Big-budget sci fi epic where one of the principal alien characters is a puppet whose operator is clearly visible at all times. Like, it's a really good puppet, you can totally see where the hundred million dollar budget went, but the puppeteer is right there. You can see them. This is never acknowledged.

Critically, this conceit extends outside the film. Commentaries and interviews include the puppet character, which everybody treats as a real performer. The movie wins an award for best special effects and the puppet goes up and gives a speech like it just won best actor. You can still see the puppeteer.

sometimes I wonder how y'all are obsessed with specific characters and I'm like "why them" but then I remember that sometimes its literally not your choice you just look at them wrong and all of a sudden they're taking up your every thought forever

to quote someone who was a genius on bluesky:

love when someone makes one of those fake censored posts and dozens of people fall for it completely disregarding the fact that anyone can easily just post this picture
