Today’s UKSC ruling doesn’t change human perception. It doesn’t change your validity. And it doesn’t change most laws. But the fact this has been allowed to happen is bone chilling. Hug your loved ones. The UK is a dark place.

None of this will change how I live my life. I’ll die before I kneel.

Gateway out now!

Ever been scared of being alive and trapped inside a haunted house, haunted by literal and figurative ghosts of your family’s past? Well now you can be a part of the Ghost itself!

I LOVE working on You Are the Ghost in This House! Please check it out for a great wlw horror podcast!

Okay you know what, I do have another thing to add about audio fiction and how important it is, especially now. You know, during *gestures broadly around*

The thing about audio fiction is that they can't take it down.

Books can be pulled off the store shelves and publishers can flat-out refuse to give space to new ones that don't fit their side of the current political climate. Video streaming services can and already have gone even further by entirely scrubbing media they don't like from the only places that had rights to distribute them -- if not for piracy, shows like Infinity Train would be gone gone. I expect we will see much more of this type of behavior in coming years.

With audio fiction podcasting, the default is a decentralized, self-published, free to access platform. They can't very well take down a whole hosting service, and any show they go after can just be re-uploaded under a new RSS feed. (If you're a creator, please look into the basic principles of self-hosting, just in case.) Although we probably won't need to take any of those measures, because since there's no money that capitalists can extract from this art form,

They don't even know we exist. Be as queer as you want. Be as progressive and inclusive as you want. Be as anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-racist, anti-fascist as you want. Tell stories that are important, that people with power wouldn't want you to tell. They won't find us, not here.

Peace and love on every planet. And fight until we get it.

No, seriously, what makes Celia so special??? If Darrien and the other "emaciated souls" were each balanced out by someone getting eaten by the Centre then I guess it makes sense, but then why didn't Hill Top just eat someone to balance Celia? Why does two people going in her place balance it out instead of unbalancing it in the other direction?

And what about the other people we know who've crossed over? What balanced Anya Villette? Or Jon and Martin? Or the goddamn Fears???

While one day we dream of a sprawling tapestry of tales, quilted together from many different creators, we will start by incorporating Points of Articulation into our web and by sharing something new with you all. The first project launched under Three Fates will be You are the Ghost in This House, a new audience-directed horror audio drama!

A rotting old manor House, recently vacated. A pair of young women, returning to the house in which they spent two very different childhoods. And you. The Ghost. YATGITH will feature both written and audio chapters, distributed for free via Patreon and wherever else podcasts are found. Each chapter will be followed by a poll: What will the Ghost do next? And will the House ever let you go?

A new thing I’m doing!!!

TMA 122:

Statement of uh, uh, Lorell St. John regarding, uh... zombies. Original statement given 1st February, 2015. Recording by Jonathan Sims. The Archivist.

TMA 53:

My biggest concern right now is whatever creature Mr. Heller encountered down there. It was 56 years ago, but if it’s still alive, I should be careful. What was it? A guardian of some sort? Or perhaps… perhaps… it too was once an Archivist.

TMAGP 26:

It was holding a tape recorder to Mr. Jarrod’s mouth, like it was trying to catch his dying words.
“Who are you?” I asked it.
An Archivist,” it replied.

I know many people have already pointed out that [ERROR] could be the same kind of being that was under Alexandria, but this phrasing in particular is making me certain of it. A living, breathing, active Archivist like Jon is "the" - the one and only, the main focus of the Eye. The ones that linger after their Archives are forgotten - not alive, not dead, but somewhere in between - are just "an". One of many, still holding the title - still powerful - but far less human.

There are a ton of other parallels between the two that are making me so curious what our Alexandria guy got up to between - potentially - being released by Mr. Heller and finding its way to the Panopticon: basement Archive, the main building/library is burned down on top of it, it remains locked down there until some unsuspecting explorer unintentionally gives it the key... I wonder if there was an [ERROR] drifting around in the TMA world too, hunting people with a quill and parchment rather than a tape...

.

.

.

(Celia's phrasing is also very telling as to what she's been expecting to find.

TMAGP 26:

"No, I mean, something isn't right.… The External, the Archivist, it’s not acting how I would have expected..."

No, it's certainly not acting how the Archivist would. An Archivist, on the other hand...)
