Ok ACAB and everything but I've been seeing stuff going around about how Jean deliberately abandoned Harry and Martainaise to the Tribunal out of spite and that's just not at all what happened.
They didn't know there was going to be a Tribunal. Neither did Harry and Kim until Joyce, the person who hired the mercenaries and the only outsider they've been in contact with, informs them.
When you confront Ruby- the event which triggers the Tribunal- there's an Esprit de Corps check that explains with zero ambiguity why your backup is absent: because writers love poetic irony, Jean and Judit leave moments before shit goes down because they didn't think anything was going to happen today.
Like you can argue that Jean and Judit are shit at their jobs for not picking up on the vibes, and that it's weird and nasty for Jean to check up on Kim but not Harry if you both get shot (then exaggerate Kim's condition to make Harry feel bad) but claiming they conspired to leave Harry and Kim to die for whatever reason just isn't supported by the text.
