I have a new Sonic AU I may or may not do stuff for. I’m going to tell you guys everything I have right now.

It’s an AU where Sonic was also made on the ARK alongside Shadow.

Before Project Shadow was conceived, Gerald and the other scientists were working with the chaos emeralds. This is how the Biolizard came to be. However, something else happened. A hedgehog was formed from the excess chaos energy. The hedgehog, however, had no life. It was just a husk. It was kept around, however, because of how good it was at handling chaos energy

When Project Shadow finally bore fruit, the husk awakened because of Shadow’s overwhelming chaos energy. It served as Shadow’s original inhibitors, an external regulation system. Gerald kept the new hedgehog (named Sonic after his incredible speed and the sound frequency his body emits when handling Shadow’s energy) to serve as a tool for Shadow and Maria

Sonic was treated as an inanimate object by everyone except Maria and Shadow. They were kind to him, and in turn, he was fond of them. It helped that Sonic and Shadow had this supernatural connection and dependency on each other

Gerald noticed this, but he didn’t get concerned until he realized Sonic and Shadow’s relationship was decidedly different in nature than the ones they had with Maria and she with them

Gerald worried that this fledgling relationship would interfere with Project Shadow’s primary purpose of healing Maria and other children. He also saw Sonic as nothing more than a tool. It took no effort to seal Sonic’s memories and send him to G.U.N. on Earth to be their weapon. It was preferred since it bought Gerald more time to work on Project Shadow and help Maria

Unfortunately, the pod taking Sonic to Earth was destroyed. He was presumed dead.

Gerald was displeased because it meant G.U.N. was still on his case. Maria and Shadow were also unhappy. Maria’s illness grew worse because of her grief and sorrow. Shadow was angrier, and he would have gone berserk if Gerald hadn’t erased their memories of Sonic and made Shadow his inhibitor rings

On Earth, Sonic returned to a husk without Shadow’s excess energy, but he wasn’t dead. The Chao found him. He was in a coma under their protection for like 40ish years, give or take. Eventually, his body connected with the planet, gaining chaos energy from that and coming back to life. All he knew were the Chao and his name, however, so he stuck to living on Earth

Everything happens with the raid and Sonic Adventure 2 and whatnot. I’m trying to figure out when I want to start having Sonic and Shadow remember. I think it’d be funny if Shadow remembers first, because he’ll be in love with Sonic and the other hedgehog won’t know
