Cracked- Your muse’s gem is now cracked. It can’t heal, but it also can’t get worse. If muse has multiple gems, then mun decides which one is cracked.

The sunlight shone through her bedroom window, shining onto her bed, almost making her looking like she glowing.

She slowly opened her eyes, yawning as she began to stretch.

This was all interrupted by pain suddenly shooting through her body.

She cried out as her body suddenly glitched, trying to keep together.

Tears filled her eyes as she gripped her sheets. Her navel gem hurt. Bad. She knew she should check it, but she was hurt and scared.

She reached out for the crow plush on her nightstand and held it tight, her body suddenly glitching again for a second.

She gently pressed her face against the soft plush.

“C-crow... please...”

She slowly moved, pulling off her blanket before trying to look herself over.

She froze when she saw her cracked navel gem.

She started to panic, breathing quickly.

She started to cry more when nothing happened.

“W-why isn’t it healing?!”

She grabbed her head.

“H-how did this even happen?! I was sleeping!”

W-what? Here, drink maybe?

She sighed, waiting to see if the pills would have any effect.

”No, sorry...”

She held the crow plush, keeping it close.

*a silent nod, at at the edge ofnthe bed*

ssorry..

”It’s ok, it’s not your fault...”

There was a pause.

“Maybe while we wait, we can try to figure out how this happened?”

maybe.. but how do we do that?

She thought for a moment.

“Well, I guess we could go over what I know.”

gemstone issue..

healing water doesn't work..

She nodded a little.

“When I went to bed last night, my navel gem was fine. And when I woke up, it was like this...”

She suddenly had a look of horror on her face.

“D-Did someone try to murder me?! But the room looks the same as how it did last night!”

She glitched again.

Who would do that? Why?

*concern, worry flared back up*

”I-I don’t know! I don’t know anyone who would want me dead.”

no one would..

“Then how else could this have happened?”

I.. I don't know?

She teared up again.

Hey, strawberry, it's gonna be alright

*he cupped her face, trying to calm her*

I'm not leaving until I know you're safe and okay

”But... What if it’s cracked forever?”

I.. I'm sure it won't

*he didn't want her to be in that kinda pain, he knows that type of pain*

”Then why won’t it heal? What’s stopping it?”

I don't know..

..curse??

”Yeah, it’s probably that...”

Either way, I'm gonna make sure no one hurts you( okaY?

”Ok. Thanks...”

Of course..

.. need anything?

She shook her head.

*a nod, he moved to close the window and door he left open in a rush before standing at her bedside again*

know it hurts.. but try and rest, okay?

”Ok, I’ll try...”

thank you.

*he went and sat down. seems he was gonna keep watch. Just in case.*

“You’re welcome...”

She closed her eyes, trying to rest.

*he just watched over the room and her friend, to make sure nothing would happen to her.*

Despite trying to rest, she still looked really uncomfortable.

...

you alright berry?

She shook her head.

anything i can do to help?

”I don’t know... Sorry.”

it's alright, dont be sorry. not your fault

She put a hand over her cracked gem.

*he fell silent again, wish he had some way to end the pain*

”...What did I do to deserve this?”

you didnt do anything, you don't deserve this agony.

”Then why is this happening?”

..I don't know..

She went quiet, feeling bad for asking crow that question.

.. but I promise, this is not your fault or punishment. No way you deserve anything like this.

”Thank you...”

Of course

A moment later, she tried to get up.

everything alright?

*he rushed to her side, offered a hand to help*

“Yeah...”

She took his hand.

*he helped her sit and stand up, staying close in case she needed support*

She stood for a moment before sitting back down.

*he was a bit confused but might've misinterpreted her movements*

”So tired...”

Ah, fair.. just tell me of you want or need anything, you just stay in bed, okay? I'll get it for you.

”Thanks.”

She sighed.

“I’m not tired like I need to rest or sleep, I just feel drained...”

I get that.. still best to rest. Dont need to nap or anything. Just. Try not to exert too much energy.

She nodded, then laid back down.

*he smiled at her, before going back to sit dowm

She rubbed her head a little.

Want me yo bring you a book? Your remote? Game or something?

”The remote’s fine.”

*he handed her the remote*

”Thanks.”

She turns on the tv to a cooking channel.

you're welcome!

She tries to relax again.

*he half paid attention to the tv, just keeping an eye out*

She just quietly watches the tv.

"Guess I never asked, is there any specific area it hurts? Is it sharp or dull pain? Probably should've asked earlier.."

”It hurts a little on my navel gem and the area around it. But when my form glitches out it kinda stings all over for a second…”

"Hmm..."

Crow is by no means a medical professional, so unsure how to proceed. Same thing with gem stuffs.

"Heat pad? Or ice pack? If it's localized around that gem, maybe can. Numb the pain? I don't know how to prevent glitches other than. Just keeping still, don't move or strain.."

“I don’t know if a gems, well, gem reacts to that stuff, but I guess we could try?”

"You still have the area around it, maybe it'll work there?"

He ran off to get the ice pack and electric blanket, the latter was set aside.

"This'll be a little cold, tell me if it hurts.."

He gingerly set the ice pack directly above her gem

“It doesn’t hurt any more than it already does, but it feels weird…”

"Want me to remove it? Try the heated blanket?"

“Sure. Maybe that’ll be better?”

A nod, he removed the ice pack and set the blanket over her, turning it on.

"Better?"

”A little. I think?”

A sigh of relief.

"That's good.."

He wished he could just remove their pain but. Crow was ill equiped. Could only provide bedside. Which is where he sat again.

She was quiet for a moment before speaking again.

“I don’t like this…”

"Don't like what?"

”The fact that my navel gem is cracked. The fact that it won’t heal. The fact that I have to be in pain. The fact that I don’t know when this will end…”

"Yeah.. I don't like not being to help, and also don't like the pain you're in. If there was a way to help I would do anything."

”Thanks Crow…”

She sighed.

“At least it’s not shattered, right?”

"At least.."

He put a hand over his stomach instinctively. Shifting to lean against the bed's headboard.

”You ok?”

"I'm fine, don't worry about it. Right now let's focus on you. Is the heating blanket doing alright? Want some extra regular blankets?"

”The heating blanket is fine by itself for now.”

A nod.

"That's good.. Need anything else? Other ideas?"

”No, not at the moment…”

Another nod, he shifted to criss-cross, hands in his lap, and one wing stretched over behind her head.

She glanced at his wing.

Same as always, iridescent bluish-black. Resting protectively against the headboard over her head. No skin contact, just hovering.

She stopped looking at it, then took off her shades.

He looked at her inquisitively, focused on the revealed face. Rare to see her (or any sunstone) without the shades.

She looked back at him.

"Want me to put those on the nightstand?"

He offered to take them, so she didn't have to move

”It’s fine. I’ll just leave them on the bed.”

A nod, he leaned back again. Turned his head to look out the window for a bit before turning back to watch over Strawberry.

”… Sorry if this is boring.”

"It's not, and it's fine! Much rather keep you safe and comfy just.. worried yknow. Still don't know for sure how it happened.. I'll keep an eye out though, for sure."

”Thanks…”

She glanced down at her navel gem.

"Of course!"

A small smile before he followed her gaze to her own gem.

She sighed.

"Something wrong?"

”I just want my gem to heal already. But the healing water didn’t work…”

"I know.. I'm sorry it didn't work.."

”It’s ok. It’s not your fault…”

"I know its just.. Hate seeing you like this.. Anyone in pain.."

”Should we try the water again? Or would that be a waste?”

"Never a waste, can always get more."

Crow moved the blanket and tried again, emptying the rest of the canteen onto her belly.

The healing water didn’t do anything.

She teared up before glitching again, sounding panicked.

“?gnikrow ton llits ti si yhW”

"Strawberry? Are you okay?"

Suddenly very panicked, he grabbed one of her hands.

She looked at him.

“…os kniht t’nod I”

"I-.. Huh?"

She is lost: no idea what Strawberry said

“C-crow... please...”

She suddenly had a look of horror on her face.

She glitched again.

you didnt do anything, you don't deserve this agony.

She went quiet, feeling bad for asking crow that question.

.. but I promise, this is not your fault or punishment. No way you deserve anything like this.

A moment later, she tried to get up.

Ah, fair.. just tell me of you want or need anything, you just stay in bed, okay? I'll get it for you.

She sighed.

“I’m not tired like I need to rest or sleep, I just feel drained...”

I get that.. still best to rest. Dont need to nap or anything. Just. Try not to exert too much energy.

She nodded, then laid back down.

“C-crow... please...”

“C-crow... please...”

“C-crow... please...”
