Aziraphale waits when he’s finished, expecting some supernatural spectacle of light, or mist, or… well, anything really, but nothing changes as far as he can tell. He pockets the little notebook and reaches one trembling hand out to the planchette, heart racing and rattling his chest as his fingertips come to rest upon it. “Um… hello,” he says, cringing and wishing he’d rehearsed a more respectable greeting. “I’m sorry I haven’t been able to decipher your name, but I think it’s high time I acknowledged you directly.”
