So, hey. I'm Denice.

Yup, that's me. 40-something transfem, she/her, poly kinky lesbian. And currently off (or about to be) on sabbatical for medical reasons for the next month or two.

What do I do? A lot of stuff. I write.

I'm also a tattoo artist (not currently booking because again, sabbatical)

I do also make masks and do leatherwork, but again, SABBATICAL. that'll resume in 2025.

Cory Booker has been talking in the senate for over 20 hours now

He’s not filibustering. He’s protesting the current administration.

For those of you from outside the US or those of you who didn’t pay attention in government class, in the US senate there’s really no limit to the amount of time a senator can speak. So sometimes if they don’t want a bill to pass they just. Don’t stop talking. To hopefully get past the deadline to vote on a bill. This is called filibustering.

Senator Cory Booker isn’t doing that. He’s disrupting “the normal business of the United States Senate for as long as I am physically able”. Just in protest. This doesn’t usually happen.

being abused or neglected really makes it clear how many things are skills that nobody really treats as. skills. exercising autonomy is a skill. listening to your body is a skill. resting is a skill. being liked and being loved are skills. nobody tells you how to do this shit because nobody even told me I was supposed to have learnt these things when I was a kid. I kind of just have to manually figure out what makes me freak out and work from there. unfair as shit

Hey, thanks for the kind words! All the bigcartel stuff is done print-on-demand so I'm limited by what sizes the print companies make available, though I do try to go for the product options with the biggest ranges where I can, they don't always stock everything.
