Look i tried to laugh it off, but I haven’t stopped thinking about this message because… my cat literally isn’t green

like where is the green

Oh Christ

This is the color your cat is

colors i eyedropped directly from op's cat

I drew a tree using only colours eyedropped from OP's cat.

every time i see this post all i see is some green alien kitty with antennae so i had to draw it

I originally thought those were supposed to be mushrooms, implying that this cat is moldy

Moldy forest cat

i'm happy y'all made fan art of my cat. i tried to show her and she just rubbed her face on my phone

Pet your cat OP, 50% shot it helps.

the first time I reblogged this, like a few weeks ago, it had like 4,000 notes. why do people keep insisting tumblr is dead

i had a DREAM about the green cat last night. not sure what she was up to but. nice to meet her :)

GREEN CAT IS BACK ON MY DAAAAAASH

We Love Green Cat

Phenotype: black ticked tabby shorthair with <50% white

Not 100% certain on the tabby type, could be a mackerel and I just can't see it very well at this angle.

Breed: Likely random-bred

Interesting Features: mossy green :)

This is most likely a combination of the tint of her fur (black tabbies often look brown or gray under the stripes, but the color of the stripes is the true color of the cat) and an effect of the lighting. Cats do not produce green pigment.

hehe i was waiting for science tumblr :DD

love green cat, thank you for existing

Cultural exchange is great and I'm glad that Americans and Chinese people are interacting on RedNote. But you should be aware that:

  1. RedNote is largely used by the upper-middle and upper classes of China. It's basically a copy of Instagram with extra emphasis on the lifestyle flexing. It's not a representation of wider Chinese society but rather a curated experience for the top 20% or so.
  2. On top of that, it is heavily regulated and censored by the government. LGBTQ+ content is heavily censored. And criticisms of the Chinese government or Chinese culture are deleted instantly.

So please continue using RedNote for as long as it's available and learn as much about China from it as you can. But take it with a grain of salt and realize that what you're seeing is basically the Chinese equivalent of American Instagram models as curated by the government.

being in both the aftg fandom and the marauders fandom is so hard sometimes. i’ll see art of a sad boy with reddish hair and a bunch of scars and i won’t know if it’s remus or neil.

the amount of times i’ve been like “that’s good fanart of remus…oh wait nvm he’s with a blonde”

something i've noticed. people seem to think the most nature-y nature is forests. so forests are always prioritized for conservation, and planting trees is synonymous with ecological activism. my state was largely prairies and wetlands before colonization. those ecosystems are important too. trees aren't the end-all be-all of environmentalism. plant native grasses. protect your wetlands.

deserts also!!! it sucks so bad that people think of desert as 'wasteland' just because it's not suited for western european style ag development, they're beautiful and delicate and valuable ecosystems and, i think it's good to point out that humans have been living willingly in them for thousands of years
