Summary: Of the many unexpected things that came with saying yes to Tony’s truly ostentatious proposal, a bodyguard never quite crossed his mind. Which is why it’s a complete surprise when an oversized, dark blond suit shows up at Tony’s equally oversized townhouse. Finding out the near stranger is his new bodyguard after taking in his ill-fitting jacket, kind blue eyes, and neat if overgrown facial hair, and blurting out an incredulous “Stevie Rogers?” was not on his wedding planning agenda. With the power of his pecs and a pair of baby blues, Steve Rogers is a pro at helping unhappy couples go their separate ways. Except—with a familiar face as his newest client, his own heart may now be the one at stake.

Treat yourself to some (mostly) fluffy shenanigans on Bucky’s birthday week. Read now on AO3!

one thing about steve and bucky is that they are going to be a little unhealthily codependent, it doesn't matter if it's romantic or platonic but those two should NOT be separated. i will die on this hill.

Absolutely. Their situation is unique so usual issues with codependency don’t apply

A trio I wish we had interact more is Steve, Bucky and Thor. There's so much potential there. (Even with just Steve and Thor. Two warriors who are forced to adjust to a culture different from theirs, forced to fight the person they love the most, leaders who go through so much but can't deal with it because other people need them).

I can imagine things like Steve telling Thor all about Bucky while drunk on Asgardian mead, Thor telling Bucky about the nine realms which gets Bucky all excited and Steve torn between happy that Bucky's happy or jealous because he wants to make Bucky happy, Thor seeing the tension between the boys and calling them out, Thor and Steve introducing Bucky and Jane, Thor taking the boys to Asgard where they can be themselves because no one knows or cares who they are (and when they say how old they are everyone's like 'omg you're just babies'), Thor marrying Steve and Bucky mid battle like in Pirates of the Caribbean - they wouldn't even need to ask he'd just volunteer and then throw them a feast afterwards, swapping war/battle stories, Thor braiding Bucky's hair . . . There's just so much you could explore

Oh, I love this! I have to admit that I don't tend to think about Thor very much, and I don't always include him in my stories, but it's just because I sometimes accidentally forget about him, not because I dislike him. On the contrary, I think Thor is wonderful and there is lots of potential there in terms of his relationship with Steve and Bucky, you're absolutely right!

I adore all the scenarios you mention, especially Thor and Steve introducing Jane and Bucky, and Thor marrying Steve and Bucky mid-battle, Pirates of the Caribbean style 🥹😭 I am also VERY partial to Steve on Asgardian mead, especially when it makes him loose-lipped about his feelings for Bucky 🥰 It's one of my favourite things!

Thank you for reminding me how wonderful Thor is and how cute interactions between Stucky and Thor can be. I definitely need to remember this for writing purposes in the future ❤️

i love when an author truly understands a character so well that they can just put said character in any situation and still have them act correctly. like yeah okay hes a cat cafe owner. hes a middle school teacher. hes a dog. and hes acting exactly how he would act if he was a dog.
