Kristen Campbell shutout! What a highly skilled team, especially that first line. Finland loses their second game, so far only scoring 1 goal in this tournament.
Finland did make a goaltending change after Kyrrko let in the 4th goal in the first 20 seconds of 2nd period. Keisala(the finn goaltender that took over) looked better and only let in one more goal, a long shot from Zandee assisted by Maltais.
Gardiner had 2 goals and 1 assist in this first game. Was a great game really😌

It's pretty incredible how Stacey's gone from fourth line with barely any minutes just 3 years ago and a healthy scratch the year before that to now being on the first line
I think one thing the pwhl does is gives these players the ability to not only grow and such, but to showcase themselves and their skills (esp the less quantifiable stuff) in a ‘lower stakes’ (compared to international) kind of environment. so not only has she improved as a player, she’s also been VISIBLE as a player.

every time I see film of a platypus I am struck again by how small they are
My problem is that they look like duck-faced beavers, so I expect them to *be* the size of beavers.
Beavers are *huge* -- about 35 to 65 lbs (16 to 30 kg) and 3 to 4 feet long.
See, I always thought platypi were tee-tiny--like, the size of your hand--so the first time I saw one in the zoo, which happened to be a two-footer, I was like THEY ARE GIANTS NO ONE TOLD ME
I was not ready for that zoom out and size comparison oh my gods!!! SO SMALL
Fun fact, they don't have teats so the mums sweat the milk through their chest :)
