buck is living such a rollercoaster lmao pls. he gets dumped by his boyfriend, his husband leaves (not before they bitchy fight for a sec), he rents his house, fucks his ex in it, is accused of being in love with his “””””straight””””” best friend, then said bestie calls him to tell him he might come back to sleep on his couch 🧍🏽‍♀️

unpopular opinion (maybe?) but we are not going to see eddie mentioning buck every other sentence in el paso. this is because they are different people who deal with their feelings of loss differently. and also because buck's biggest problem at the moment is quite literally that eddie is in texas. while eddie's biggest problem at the moment is that he had to leave his entire life behind to go grovel at the feet of his parents who took his own son away from him just so he can see his son again. thanks for your time

no literally

on the subject of parent redemptions i think toni wilson was the most well-done and consistently written but i think ramon and helena had the potential to be the most interesting. like i was seriously compelled by all of their scenes in the early seasons and i wanted so much more of them together even if they were actively in conflict bc i thought their dynamic was so rich and meaty. and then. well.

SOMEONE HAD TO SAY IT

Buck is a silly guy trying to be taken seriously and Eddie is a guy who’s been forced to be serious but wants to be silly.

Eddie takes everything Buck says and does seriously. And Buck gives Eddie to space and freedom to be silly.

And this is literally the perfect combination of why every time they’re together they turn into dumbass and dumbasser.

the way hes gonna bail on this fire captain in a month because his wife (buck) needs him back in LA

no because i hope the hiring freeze ends and he gets the job and works there for .2 seconds before deciding to go back to LA. sorry to captain morales i just think it would be so fucking funny

buck ending the call with "I'll call you later byebyebye" they're literally talking during every single free time they have aren't they. buck gets back from the call and picks up the phone and they pick the conversation back up right where they left off. eddie has free time between customers and calls buck to rant about the last douchebag who didn't leave a tip. they do their house chores together over facetime and eddie turns the camera to the next appliance that starts falling apart in front of his face for buck to just go ooooh that's not good and eddie to thank him for being so helpful. they call before bed and more often than not one of them will realize the silence on the other end of the line isn't careful listening to their rant about their day and the other actually fell asleep 10 minutes ago. they stay on the line then too.
