The world may be full of uncertainty and danger, but I resolve to continue to find joy in who I am. Be joyful to be kind to yourself and be joyful to spite the bastards who would tear us apart.
you can only reblog this today
@dustycymbre was a cutie (featuring the world's oldest pants)
Oh no I've been perceived
Couple more pics from the Frost game, courtesy of @hyenabeanz who along with @hsavinien was a great host and seat neighbor. No photos of them for this platform but we had a great fucking time and I miss our friends already. (Also they're like the best pet parents)
After we parted ways we went to Snake Discovery and I got some High Quality Herp Derpin
I wanted to steal Ham Sammich
I love @dustycymbre so much
Also! There was a six year old girl at Snake Discovery who was also decked out in Frost gear and I said "aw look she must've been at the game too!" a little too loud and her marine-ass looking dad very awkwardly said "mmmyeap" in that kind of standoffish Midwestern man way and I keep cracking up thinking about the interaction. Literally every kid there had turbo autism it was a genuine delight
Listen I bet a Frost/Snake Discovery collaboration would rock. Snake discovery but it's this lavender garter snake
the people on tiktok filming a blob-like strawberry and saying it's a GMO one...fucking fake strawberry fans...they literally can grow naturally like this
it's just the strawberries growing together. do not speak lies of these beautiful freaks ever again
every time I find a strawberry like this i'm not hating. i'm happy because there's more strawberry to eat. unlike you
its called fasciation and it's a mutation that happens in plants all the time! it's perfectly natural, just a neat variation that comes from a wide array of genetic possibilities :)
Its so interesting that when people hear gmo they think its gotta look wrong but the real gmo plants are the ones that look perfect and plump everytime, that's the kinda thing they're selecting for
The year is 2035. I am in the produce aisle complaining about the quality of the AI generated fruit.
All strawberries at the store are the product of genetic experiments. Strawberries would be tiny little useless berries except some french guy hybridized two species of strawberries and created the monsters you see at the grocery store
there should be a tax that youtubers pay where 1.5% of all of their revenue goes back to Kevin Macleod for basically supplying YouTube with it’s own soundtrack.
who is this man and what music did he make???
if you hear a royalty free song on youtube, there’s approximately an 80% chance Kevin Macleod wrote it.
here’s some you’ve almost definitely heard:
for those wondering, yes, he also made THE generic royalty free song that was EVERYWHERE in 2014.
And he doesn’t even make a 1000$ per month!
also, his site incompetech.com also has graph paper generators, if you’re in need of that. It has any kind of graph paper - INCLUDING hex paper, you tabletop gamers out there! (or knitting paper if you’re into that)
HOHOHOHO?
Y'all, I’ve been a fan of Kevin MacLeod for YEARS. I can identify his music within two seconds. He’s a fucking genius and he deserves all the love and credit and money people can give.
(yes, that @gallusrostromegalus )
The timestamp really adds to this tbh
the amount of faith it takes to transition and believe it can get better is holier than any church
Youve never met anyone like you but youve heard people like you exist and youve heard nothing but awful awful things but. you know youre one of them. you know what you have to do. You cant do anything but pray that its better because you know you cant survive this anyways.
I actually decided to do medical transition because it was going to suck either way so it was more out of nihilism or spite than hope or faith but I'm glad there are people who transition because they believe it will get better.
Staffing levels at NWS offices are getting so critically low that they can’t do routine, mission critical duties like launching weather balloons.
These launches are important for forecast models and accurate weather forecasts.
(Image from Chris Vagasky - coweatherman on BlueSky)
These offices are also located in the Plains… an area famous for its calm and benign weather patterns (/s).
“Isn’t there anything else they can cut?”
No. There isn’t. There is simply no staff available to do the launches.
The NWS is still under a hiring freeze and is losing people to the fork bullshit and early retirements being offered. This agency has already had staffing issues due to retirements and lack of funding.
just wanted to share the National Down Syndrome Society’s message for this year’s World Down Syndrome Day (21st March) 💛💙
Powerful message that lovingly includes multiple disabilities, united. I love this.
