Saying a post should have 10k on most social media: Haha, that’s so sweet of y’all to say!
Saying a post should have 10k on tumblr: you arrogant fool! How dare you cast this curse upon me? Dost thou cast thine bloodline against my own? Nay I say this shall never occur. Never!
do you think in a world where magic exists, stage magic/party tricks would have to be called something else because calling it magic would ironically make it seem more mundane. like. "i made this rabbit disappear" yeah whatever any wizard with minor teleportation abilities can do that. "i made this rabbit disappear with NO magic" oh shit now im interested.
every day i think about how wild vaporeon would live mostly in the water but come to shore to have their pups (eevee), and then would probably groom their pups in a special way to trap air bubbles in their soft fur to make them more bouyant so they can float unaided on the water. and then as soon as the eevee have control of their little legs they're being taught how to swim, so you could come to a lake at a certain time of year ans see a vaporeon swimming around with a tiny soaked eevee paddling along behind it like
i love having the hubris to go 'sure i'll try that, how hard can it be' about every creative skill under the sun. jack of all trades master of shit fuck but who says you have to be a master??? maybe i want to sew a mediocre plushie and code a janky mod and write a bland song. im having fun. im in my lane. im learning and im thriving.
Can I interest you in some Burger Time?
this is so creative I never thought of doing a mash up of my favorite series
Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.
I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.
Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.
Support real artists ☀️
I read this as a human explaining what art is to their alien coworkers in the intergalactic spaceship, after being confronted for the random scribbles and doodles in the side of his reports, the random singing and dancing in the hallways (they got sad because they thought it was a mating call and the other humans didn't respond) and the awkward jokes to fill the silence sometimes, etc.
and the human is like "you can do art too!!" as they distribute paper and watercolors around the conference table
