Geronimo Stilton English readers, I need some help!

I finally started to translate my KoF fic. There are many terms that I should look for because, of course, they have been translated and will not be identical to the Italian ones. I think I will be able to find most of them... But I don't know where to find the geographic places.

In the fic I mentioned many places of the Mouse Island. I found them on a gigantic map I got God-knows-where, but I found the same map on The Quest of Paradise... Unluckly, in the English edition there is no map, neither of the New Mouse City (be aware that I almost had a heart attack to find out that Topazia became New Mouse City) or the Mouse Island. I took a picture of both:

I don't really need the names of the places of New Mouse City (just the name of Sally's newspaper, if someone can help me with that), but I do need the names of the places of Mouse Island.

Does anyone have a picture of the second map in English? (Does it exist in the English edition, at least)?

The maps do exist in English editions, they're just not as in-depth because holy shit those are in-DEPTH :OO

Also they look like actual tour maps in travel brochures and I really like that, but yeah here's the (newer) English version of the maps ^^

There are many versions of the map as far as I remember. The one I posted are probably the most complete (definitely not the first edition of them), but I think they have also been changed in the new books 🤔

I just finished this BEAST of a book (72 pages of a LARGE AS FUCK BOOK)

This is The origins of Kingdom of Fantasy and I fucking CRIED

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

GERONIMO LITERALLY CREATED THE KINGDOM OF FANTASY. HE DREAMED IT AND MADE IT BECOME REAL TO PROTECT THE KINGDOM OF DREAMS. HE ALSO CREATED FLORIDIANA/BLOSSOM AND HE IS DESIGNATED AS THE KINGDOM'S PROTECTOR.

I AM CRYING.

Okay so, the book seems unavailable outside Italy (I couldn't even find it the 🏴‍☠️ way in Italian) soooo I can give y'all the pictures of this part of the book (as I said, the book is huge, so sorry if the quality is not that good). And the translation, even if I am not a translator, but I trust Geronimo to be easy to translate.

So, let's go.

For context: Geronimo is asked to go the Kingdom of Nightmares to get back the Golden Egg of Dreams, a big golden egg where you can sleep in and where every dream becomes reality. What you will read is after the adventure is over (and the Golden Egg is safe)

The gifts of the friends from the Kingdom of Dreams

"It was at that point that I announced: - Ehm, my dear friends, at this point, if you don't need me anymore, I would go home...

Everyone shouted at the same time: - Nooooo, Master Dreamer, stay a little longer!

Pistacchioso screamed plaintive: - But, so, don't you have a good time here with us?

I smiled and hug him: - Oh no, Pistacchioso, I had a good time, but I really have to go back home, in the city of Topazia...

Petrica mumbled with tears in her eyes: - Alright, go then, but promise that you will come back at least to say hello to us, because we love you!

Then they crowded around me, hugging me and submerging me with their gifts.

I accepted all of them, then I asked: - My friends, what can I gift you?

Everyone shouted at the same time: - A dream, we want a dream, and it should be nice and good for everyone!

Alidoro opened me the door of the Golden Egg of Dreams, inviting me to get it. I entered and closed the door. I know what to do by now...

I nibbled the little biscuits, I drank the herbal tea, load the music box and I slipped under the blankets.

Then I said to myself: - I have to be careful of what I dream of, because my dreams in this Golden Egg will become reality...

Of course, I would really like to gift a beautiful dream to my friends! A nice and good and maybe also useful dream!

But... What do they really need? Well, of course of allies that can help them in case of danger, if the Oscurissimi* should attack again! Yeah, I should dream of a Kingdom populated by many creatures with a kind heart, lovers of the Peace and that know the value of true friendship...

And this new Kingdom could communicate with the Kingdom of Dreams through a big and beautiful rainbow, a bridge between two worlds, symbol of peace and eternal friendship!

Satisfied, I closed my eyes and started to mutter: - I want to dream... I want to dream... I want to dream...

A moment later I fell into a wonderful sleep.

I dreamed of opening the door of the Golden Egg and on the other side seeing... A beautiful rainbow that shone in the sky... And of travelling until I reached an enchanted place, where stood a castle of the purest crystal. A beautiful fairy with light blue complexion, who wore a crown of roses on her head, was singing accompanied by a sweet choir..."

[The gifts around the page are: a parchment, a throne in the Council of the Wise Dreamers, a dream catcher, a precious inkwell, a golden crown, a bottle of elderberry ink, a feather of light, a warm coat, a saddlebag of sweets]

This one of Dreams is the most enchanted, welcome in our fairy Kingdom!

May the Kingdom of Dreams and of Fantasy be always united by the bright path!

who from the Kingdom of Dreams will want to visit us!

The Queen of this Kingdom Blossom will be called,

and in Crystal Castle she will live!

I hugged them and said smiling: - Dear friends, now my job is done, I think it's time for me to go back home...

The Great Salamander hit the ground with his stick with a stern expression: - Master Dreamer, we know you are a writer, so we nominate you Master Writer and we ask you a book written with love!

Alidoro put a hand on my shoulder: - Your job is not yet done: you will have to write a book that will tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about the adventure that you have lived. But now listen to me carefully: you didn't tell us what's the name of the beautiful Kingdom that was born from your dream.

I thought about it for a long time, then I exclaimed: - There is only one name that I can give to this Kingdom:

KINGDOM OF FANTASY.

Everyone shouted at the same time: - Hurray! Hurray! Long live the Kingdom of Fantasy!

When silence returned, King Onirio looked me in the eyes and said: - Master Dreamer, promise not to reveal the secret of the birth of the Kingdom of Fantasy, because it's the Secret of the Secrets and it will remain so until we authorize you to disclose it! Also know that many times you will have to fight to defend the Kingdom of Fantasy from the Oscurissimi* and their descendants. Always be ready!

I put my hand on my heart: - I promise on my honor that I will never let you go without my help!"

[The last two lines are about him going back home, so I didn't translate them]

Aaaand that's it. I cried. Geronimo created all of that as a GIFT. It's beautiful.

* In the Kingdom of Fantasy books there is a character that has "Oscurissimi" as family name, and it's Crowbar the Cruel. Since in English they didn't keep the family name, well, we have a descendant.

UEUEUEUEWAAAA,,,, THAT'S SO SWEET OF HIM 🥺

That makes the lore around the Kingdom of Dreams so cool tho??? Like it was the first Kingdom and then G gave them the Kingdom of Fantasy as an ally to help against the Oscurissimi? GET YOU A FRIEND LIKE G WHO GIVES YOU A WHOLE KINGDOM TO HELP PROTECT YOU FROM YOUR ENEMIES

That also leaves a lot of room for an overarching narrative-- the Oscurissimi looking to claim the Kingdom of Dreams, which might explain it becoming the Kingdom of Nightmares at some point when G first reenters the KoF, and then helping to reclaim it as the Kingdom of Dreams (despite the cartographers not getting the memo apparently) :000c

One thing tho is that Corvidius/Crowbar the Cruel never showed up and neither did his shapeshifting murder of crows but eh it might not've been thought of yet that early into the story, still very nice lore :3c
