Hyperfixation ask game

🎶 If your hyperfixation has songs/an ost, what is your favorite song from it?

From pmd, is a hard pick, there's a handful of songs that impacted my tiny heart and sent me to heaven the first time I heard them

But I'll give it to Time Gear from Explorers of darkness/time/sky, it always slaps to me, I can't describe the feelings it gives me, I stopped for some moments to vibe, is fire 🔥

I gave in and upgraded Hero's bow, big bow go brrrr

Honorable mention: Mt. Blaze Peak and Sky Tower, both from Red/Blue Rescue Team, two because I can't choose, the first one got me locking in, and the later one gave me a bittersweet feeling, it sounded happy and hopeful but I knew my Hero and me were reaching the end of our adventure

As for Pokemon... Skyarrow Bridge from Black/White, crossing a bridge never was that epic

Honorable mention: Distortion World from Platinum, little me literally stood there and vibed with the bells and weird... synth?

🎶 If your hyperfixation has songs/an ost, what is your favorite song from it?

Can't decide, I love various tracks, but I'll chose my favorite from my first and the last I've played.

Overworld from The Amazing Mirror, this game was my first, I didn't got all in into Kirby at the time but It left me with such an impression, cute and fun, althought I was very bad at it and my brother had to help me out all the time 😅

Still, we had fun, there are other cool tracks but this one has an special place in my heart, maybe the nostalgia and the fact that it was my first Kirby experience.

And Fly Kirby! From Return to Dreamland, man, the first time we got there I got too distracted with the music and graphics to pay attention to the gameplay, that added to the hype of reaching the end, yeah, it still slaps.

Also, the fact that we had to attack the very same ship we fixed, being said that it had a mind of its own, implying that he possesed it, yeah, I lowkey grow fond of the Lor Starcutter, yeah, I'm getting emotional over a ship.

📌 How did you find your hyperfixation?

I kinda knew about its existence since always? But I believe the moment when I grow curious was when I watched that one cutscene from Super Smash Bros Ultimate, althought the interest was still very slight, after me and my brother beated Pokemon Emerald he looked for more games to play on our emulator and he brought up Kirby and The Amazing Mirror, it was said it was a good game and since we could play it together then that was it.

Kirby and Return to Dreamland was the last strand, I got hooked, even thought I wanted to experience the games I got impatient, I listened some soundtracks because I love music, even if I was listening out of context some got me ascending, and I watched that one video, that one video some people were reacting to, you guys may know about what video I'm talking about, The Lore of Kirby, that one, that one...

i cant take it anymore, is anyone else confused over why psmd puts so much emphasis on hero and partner being kids but is also the one game that makes you explicitly question if you are a kid. am i missing sth important?

why,,, why is this phrased like that. why is it making me think psmd hero is an older teenager or even an adult. but then we get put into kindergarten and act like a kid anyways. is there a theme im missing here, whats going on here.

Alright, so hear me out. I think Mew intentionally orchestrated the entire chain of events in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.

When Mew erased the human’s memories and transformed them into a child Pokémon, it was a calculated move. Because Mew then reincarnated themselves and sent the human into the future, ensuring they’d cross paths at exactly the right time.

Why? Because Mew—aka the Partner—is notorious for being mischievous and unpredictable. Even when they first met, they didn’t even get a long well. If the human had been reborn as an older Pokémon, like a teen or adult equivalent, their personalities likely would’ve clashed.They wouldn’t have connected as naturally or formed the deep bond that ultimately drives the story. But by placing both of them in a similar stage of development, Mew created the perfect conditions for that friendship to grow.

They set the stage so they and the human could meet under the right circumstances—where they’d not only get along, but need each other. I think it was their plan all along.

What if Bandee had abandonment issues that only got reinforced by his brother coughSAILORDEEcough leaving the kingdom without a good-bye or explanation and that's why no one mentions him and only remember him as "the one who left"?

Could it be his guilt of leaving his home that he didn't dare to come back?

Or that Bandee thinks it was his fault because "he wasn't enough" so he trained himself to the bone so he wouldn't be left behind and to prove that he wouldn't leave like his brother?
