I think it's incredibly important here to not overlook the fact that she is a Black woman. Transphobia, racism, and sexism overlap significantly because of the incredibly eurocentric beauty standards women are judged on.

Ok fully same, and I know im about to play with fire when i post this, but i have a story. Stick with me.

Ive been playing Pokemon GO since launch date (ye haha laugh it up) and one day, my then-roommate and I drove over to Newport Beach to see what we could catch and just have a beach day! Well, i was in the water, mostly wading, but there was this lil horsea and I hadnt caught one yet!

So i wase over to it, and if youve never been to Newport Beach, just know it has HUGE JAGGED ROCKS at low tide that make massive dips in the sand because the water will crash against them and dig down, essentially. My dumb, 19 yo self decided horsea was more important than watching where the hell i was going and i fell almost fully into one of these dips and smacked my right side on the jagged rock. I almost couldnt come back up with another wave hitting me against it, BUT I DID! AND KEPT MY PHONE OUT OF THE WATER!! AND CAUGHT THE LITTLE FUCKER!!!

So i was GOING to name it "Killer" but PoGO would not let you. And so, i was forced...

To name her Un-aliver.

She isna constant reminder of my hubris and it pisses me off that I couldnt name her The Thing I Wanted To, but I feel it just gets funnier with age.
