From the doorway, Satoru watches his lover closely observing his reflection in the bathroom mirror. It must be that time, he realizes with excitement, for Suguru to shave the prickly stubble from his jaw. The dark, coarse hair grows in uneven patches along his face, so Suguru, who is unable to and doesn't care to grow a beard, prefers to remove his scratchy whiskers with an old-fashioned straight razor. Satoru, too, prefers the smoothness of a fresh, clean shave, and in the early mornings when he is awake before his lover can serve breakfast, Suguru welcomes him into his grooming routine with a fond half-smirk and a flirtatious wink.
