when i first got into Twilight a couple of years ago I was trying to avoid spoilers since I was watching through the movies with my dad (his idea btw) anyway pretty early on I came across the name renesmee and fully thought for WEEKS that that was the ship name for Bella's mom and Edward's mom. didn't even question it.

“I want the relationship that’s healthiest for Bella” why. This is a book about vampires and werewolves and codependency and secrecy that kills you. If Bella were meant to be a normal happy healthy human girl she wouldn’t be in the story in the first place. This is fiction, she isn’t real, characters in stories don’t need to be healthy or live in reality. She deserves to suck blood and live forever if she wants idk
#the fandom went awry imo when we started praising the depiction of bellas depression in new moon#because then everyone got the idea that new moon was a book about depression/mental health#so OF COURSE people are upset when she doesn’t recover in a ‘healthy’ ‘right’ way#but it’s not about mental health#it’s about drama and the power of true love and taking charge of your own destiny#sorry the book wasn’t about what you wanted it to be about but that doesn’t make it bad#put on your critical thinking cap and identify the theme that DOES make sense#maybe you’ll find something good

I don't think those of you under the age of I'd say 25 really understand what bizarre times we're living in.
Just a decade ago, claiming that scientists were turning frogs gay made you the laughing stock of the internet.
Now the President of the United States, behind the Seal of the President, can claim that scientists are turning mice transgender in a nationally televised address to Congress and have half the country believe him.
Just in case you see anyone over 30 just rocking back and forth in a corner repeating "how the fuck did we get here" over and over.
