Well yes salmon does have some fat in it! And it is good! Try and eat it with some carbs, like potatoes, or maybe blinis. Why not add some vegetables as well? Steamed brocolis, grilled leaks, roasted eggplant, and maybe some cream? That sounds delicious.

I’m gonna be #surana posting for a hot minute so block that tag of you don’t wanna see anything.

But anyways, I’m writing an epic fanfic detailing Surana’s entire journey through Origins by utilizing the toolkit a lot and its actually really fun to look at all the conversation responses so that I can choose something in character for Surana to say and mash up the default responses from the other character match the vibe.

I’m having a hard time deciding what order I want her to do the main quests in tho. I’ve generally just gone Redcliffe, Broken Circle, Paragon of her Kind, start Sacred Ashes, Nature of the Beast, and then finishing Sacred Ashes, because that I feel like that makes a lot of logical sense travel wise, and Surana would want the most efficient route. But like idk. Maybe I’m just overthinking it tho.

Like Redcliffe first makes a lot of narrative sense, Surana trusts Alistair and when they hear that the Arl is sick in Lothering they now have a time sensitive reason. But it also feels so fast, like I want some more time to pass because they’re gonna do the Broken Circle right after to save Connor and I need enough time to pass for Surana to feel guilty about not going back to the Circle first. But I also hate doing main quests without all my companions, so I wanna do the ones that recruit them first, but I do not doing Orzammar first.

Like I could justify Surana putting off Redcliffe because it’s so close to the Circle and she is having feelings about the Circle, but like what should come next?

Then there’s the question of when to recruit Zevran and Shale… see I think I want Shale after Redcliffe and the Broken Circle because I feel like she’d make it too easy. I’m down to bend canon to put Zevran where ever I want, because I def want him recruited before the Broken Circle because learning about the Circle and how similar their pasts are is a huge bonding point for Surana and Zevran. But should be there in Redcliffe with them? I mean I wanna say yes so because I did write some of the scene where they recruit Zevran and it’s really funny to have Surana be like “I actually have no idea what Loghain’s issue with us is. We don’t actually threaten his power, do we?” And then Alistair is like “haha no… we’re just a couple of nobodies. Nothing Royal here…”

Idk I’m mostly talking to the void here but if anyone wants to give suggestions I’m open to them

Surana is insane bc as soon as she discovers something with magical abilities that she doesn’t have, her brain is immediately like “eat it to gain it’s powers.” And she never wants to, she thinks it’s disgusting and she’s better than that… but she’s curious and scared of failure so she always eats it, and the worst part is that most of the time yeah it kinda works.

Here’s an incomplete list of things that Surana has injested at one point or another that she probably shouldn’t have:

  • Joining juice, obviously
  • Regular darkspawn blood. Separate form the joining. It was a powerful emissary.
  • Various dubious potions from her time as an apprentice and while traveling
  • Dragon blood
  • A lil sprinkle of Andreste’s ashes, just to see what it tasted like (bad)
  • Some of the crystals that Shale uses, after grinding it up into a power
  • Demon blood
  • Tbh she did take a lil sippy of dragon Felemeth’s blood too
  • Improperly labeled salves
  • Avernus’s mysterious potion, before even meeting Avernus. She saw it on the table with a label about unlocking Grey Warden abilities and it was down the hatch
  • She 100% drank a little bit of all her friends blood. To see if it would give her a better blood magic connection to them so she could keep them safe.
  • Small doses of poisons. After recruiting Zevran she wanted to make sure that she knew what they tasted like, just in case.
  • Alistair’s cooking
  • Weird spring water from the elven ritual site in some abandoned ruins.
  • Ok yes she drink a little bit of abomination Uldred’s blood. She put it in a little vial after killing him and kept it while debating if she should drink it or not, before ultimately drinking it.
  • Werewolf blood. She was curious if it would turn her into a werewolf or not because of the whole Grey Warden thing. (It didn’t)
  • Not much from the deep roads actually. Except for this weird glowing rock about the size of a dime. She did swallow that for unknown reasons
  • Not broodmother blood. That’s where she drew the line.
  • Whatever “Oghren’s special brew” is
  • She tried eating one of the flowers that she gave the kennel master back at ostagar because she had a spare
  • Paper from a book because the spell in said book told her too (that was actually a prank that some older kids in the circle played on her)
  • She ate a leaf from the branch that the great oak tree gave them
  • In awakening the list expands even more. The girl drinks marsh water she’s so weird

Not to Loghain apologist on main AGAIN, but like considering the fact that some orlesians knights or whatever raped and killed Loghain’s mother in front of him as a child… I can see why he wouldn’t want to let them back into the country at a vulnerable time when they could very easily just not leave. ESPECIALLY considering that fact that if the orlesians did invade, Anora, the queen, Loghain’s daughter, would definitely be raped and killed too, so that the orlesians could take control of the throne. And like tbh if I had a daughter then I would be willing to risk letting the blight destroy the country to keep her safe too.
