Enigma System

@enigma-system03

Twitter refugee, still not sure how this place works. Weird, autistic naval history and star trek dork. Nonbinary pan lesbian disaster. Plural, still figuring out how to talk with headmates. -A for Artemis, -C for Connie, -L for Lilith

Hi, we're the Enigma system! There's not much to say about us as a collective, honestly. Only really started communicating fairly recently, and a lot of this is basically a mystery, especially for our host, hence the name. We currently know with certainty about 3 of us in this head, and have written intros so y'all can know a little about us. Goes without saying, but all of these are written by the headmate they're about.

Artemis

not much to say. I exist, am aroace. use any pronouns, some flavor of butch and nonbinary. if forced to describe a role, I provide a calm voice, help keep us stable somewhat. currently not aware of any hobbies I might have, if fronting becomes easier, might pick something up. sewing, maybe?

Connie

Hi, I'm the host of this whole system. In general if you're talking to us, it's likely I'm gonna be the one responding. I'm a demiro, demisexual pan lesbian demigirl, and use she/they/fae pronouns. In terms of hobbies, I like games of various types, military history, and Lego/Lego-compatible blocks.

Lilith

Hey there, whichever cuties might be reading this. I'm the local demon, probably the most outgoing of us three. If someone other than Connie is fronting, it's probably me, Artemis tends to prefer staying in the background. She/her and it/its pronouns work for me, although I might go for others at some point too. Still working on figuring out hobbies, but I enjoy flirting with cuties, and last time I was out, had fun with a visual novel Connie had.

I keep wanting to add LGBT themes to my game but it's a game about running over pedestrians. So what an I going to do, give you an achievement for like "congrats! You just flattened a lesbian with your car"? That seems like a bad idea.

Well, clearly the solution is that you *play* as a lesbian running people over with your car.

Apparently boomer Democrats are having meltdowns over a gen-z progressive who is primarying an 80 year old Democrat because she "went on trans podcasts" and wore a Charizard kigurumi

ok but what is she running on

You can check her out here, but quick run down:

  • Universal single payer healthcare
  • Restore reproducive healthcare
  • Protecting trans rights
  • Passing the Equality Act
  • Ending mass deportation
  • Term limits for Congress
  • $25/hr minimum wage
  • Support for rural medical care and schools
  • $3000/month for stat at home parents

reblog if youโ€™re a commie fuck who wants the USA destroyed

I don't see people talking about this so today is the 110th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, in where the factory owners locked working women and girls inside to "eliminate the risk of theft" (in reality it was too keep them from taking breaks), which resulted in the gruesome deaths of 123 mostly immigrant women and girls and 23 men, many of whom jumped to their deaths from the ninth floor either in a panicked attempt to escape or in order to die quickly. There were reports that some of the workers were on fire already as they jumped.

The eighth floor of the building was able to telephone the tenth floor to warn them about the fire, but the factory on the ninth floor where these women and girls labored had no such communication and such warning.

The factory owners were criminally charged with manslaughter for actions that contributed to the mass deaths but acquitted. However, this tragedy led to mass sympathy to the labor movement, and unions spurred on safety regulations that passed in New York state and eventually the entire country, and activists were able to reduce child labor in the process.

This tragedy is a reminder that has been forgotten in the 110 years since: every safety regulation-- every scrap of paperwork contributing to the hundreds of pages of red tape people like to complain about--every word of it was written in the blood of a laborer.

111th anniversary

They were discouraged from breaks because they were actively trying to unionize, and bosses felt that keeping them from unsupervised contact would prevent them from joining the garment workers' union.

This is why unions are important. This is why today, right now, the biggest companies in America are trying to squash unionization of their laborers and why those workers are fighting so hard to unionize.

@tikkunolamorgtfo did a great write-up a few years ago about the aftermath of the Triangle Shirtwaist fire, and I highly recommend reading it (and anything else you can about the fire). It is painfully relevant still and it's incredibly important women's, Jewish, immigrants', and workers' history.

I know this has been done before but Iโ€™m trying to see something

*define โ€œfirst kissโ€ as you wish, but if you need a definition I mean kissing someone else on the mouth with mutual romantic undertones

**if you make fun of anyone or any group of people for their answer to this poll I will block you

dragoness looking for errant hatchlings at the park, does this subsonic trill sound to call the kids back. you're just sitting on the nearby bench or walking and something twinges painfully in your chest each time she does it.

you get up to leave but dragoness locks eyes with you when she makes the noise again and watches you twitch. confused you look around but you're the only one hearing it. some kind of whine escapes you when she trills again.

the dragoness sighs. her kids are still off somewhere and it looks like she found an extra hatchling that doesn't know what she is. she's got her work cut out for her.

you stand there, frozen as the dragoness walks up to you. you don't know what you expected, but her gently bumping your forehead with her own and pulling you to her chest with a wing isn't it.

with your cheek against her shoulder, something like skin starvation eases up in you- there's something incredibly comforting about the texture of her scales.

"you've been lonely, haven't you little drake?" she croons at you.

the implied kinship in the endearmant is too much, and tears escape your eyes as you hold on to her with dear life.
