death note sideblog; all it took was 21 years and a musical [pfp by @/lightyakami / banner by Takeshi Obata]

✧˚ · . intro post!

I was going to edit it to have L be saying my name but then um. I got distracted by canva and there is something about this default text it offered up that is very funny to me.

hi! call me acro! I'm 20 years old, they/she prns, and have finally fallen face first into death note. it figures that I'd make it through my most angst-ridden of teenage years and come out the other side uninterested, only to go and get absolutely absorbed by it now.

dni is the usual criteria tbh, no bigots (terfs, racists, homophobes etc) pls, but apart from that we'll get along swell :] thank you!

tags are as follows (I'll update as I go inspiration is dragging her heels):

☆.。.:* talking acro (ranting, musing, yelling into the void)

☆.。.:* rambling acro (meta and attempts to turn thoughts into something coherent)

Wake up babe, Death Note art in 2025

Watercolor, ink, and gouache on watercolor paper

[ID: Art of Light Yagami sitting at his desk, looking up at the viewer with a sinister smile and one eye obscured. He's lifting one hand to draw a straight red line right on the drawing he's in himself. The line goes over the frame and through his head. End ID]

I've been searching for like. 40 minutes. Please. You will have my eternal gratitude.

anyway… if anyone is looking to improve their reading & writing skills, i highly recommend this article by celine nguyen, which analyses the opening paragraphs of good essays to understand how and why they work. focuses on nonfiction but could apply generally i think

the best death note joke format will forever be L asking light a simple question in which logical answer A might increase the likelihood of light being kira and logical answer B similarly might increase the likelihood of light being kira and after a short internal struggle light comes up with answer Y, which no human being has ever thought of as being a normal response in all of living history
