~FAT WORLD~

@fat-trans-world

Yo. I'm a fat queer dude, and this is my cool awesome fat propaganda blog /j

This is Not a fetish blog, and fetish interactions will be blocked.

Fat people are amazing. Weight doesn't make you any less human, any less moral, any less deserving of respect, or any less hot.

There will be artful and sometimes suggestive nudity in both art and real bodies.

every time i look for clothing it gets more depressing. you mean to tell me they don't make booty shorts in my size? at all? even the most basic kind with a common design? really? they don't make this? they don't have this for me? i'm not allowed? really?

sorry to yap but holy shit this is real:

when you are fat and or pick up weight you really start to remember that the world is NOT made to consider fat people. the most fat friendly clothes are all corporate bland shit you'd throw on to go to the corner store. i realized plus sized people are never really allowed to be involved in having cutesy or alt clothing because companies and the world in general think we don't belong here.

all the cute and fashionable stuff for fat people is mostly made by other fat people because that's how dire it is out there. I didn't want to hijack but it's something I noticed too.

"ohh 00s diet culture isn't back because of ozempic, you're overreacting"

idk i keep seeing previously size-inclusive brands remove plus-sized versions of their clothes from their catalogues entirely, even lines specifically aimed at bigger sizes are cutting their size range down and chopping the bigger ones. i keep seeing mean skinny tiktokers get famous because they said something rude about fat people. when i ask my doctor about weight loss (which my country's gender treatment clinic requires before i can access even preliminary talks about hrt), i'm immediately offered drugs about it - drugs which, according to the doctor, we don't know the long-term effects of. but surely! surely it can't be worse than being fat!

like why are people acting surprised? we've made being extremely wealthy the aspirational aesthetic to strive for, made 'being skinny and having a lot of time and money to stay beautiful' a not only viable but lucrative carreer for people, and then released a drug that is wildly expensive and will make people thin.

of course people are gonna make being thin the ultimate status symbol again - it more than ever before signals wealth and leisure-time.

like, do you think it's a coincidence that people are back to constantly spouting 'nothing tastes as good as skinny feels' again? and pretending being fat is a matter of lacking self-control around cake or whatever? as if people haven't spent decades trying to get these fucks to understand that actually healthy produce and the time to maintain your body are extreme luxuries in our society?

anyway my broke fat ass can't find pants i like and can afford because the size-inclusive lines i'd have shopped at previously have axed anything over a size xl

and like. i'm not even that fat. what the fuck do people bigger than me do. it's really heinous right now for fat peeps.

really good tiktok

Girl, just do it fat. Don’t wait until you’ve lost enough weight. You’re worthy of taking up the space that you fill. Live your life now. Don’t wait for some future version of yourself that you think will be more deserving. You have every right to pursue your passions and dreams just as you are today. Your worth isn’t tied to a number on a scale or the size of your clothes; it is inherent in who you are. You’re allowed to be seen, heard, and celebrated in whatever body you inhabit right now. Don’t let anyone or anything convince you for too long. So go out. Do it fat! Wear the clothes you love, pursue the opportunities that excite you, and live unapologetically. There’s no reason to put off living the life that you want, waiting for a moment that you’re not even sure will come. You deserve to be happy and fulfilled just as you are, and the world needs you exactly as you are today. Everything good that has ever happened to you, happened in this body. Girl, just do it fat.

can i please see a fat woman wearing it. yes, i know your sizes go all the way up to 5x. but can i please see a fat woman wearing it. yes, i heard you're woman-owned. can i please see a fat woman wearing it though. yes, i understand you donate 50% of proceeds to this charity. i still do not see a fat woman wearing it. can i please see a fat woman wearing it.

Socialists, get into fat liberation theory right the fuck now. I am speaking as a fellow dirty commie, DO IT.

You all like to lump fatness into either the category of "product of bourgeoisie decadence" or "side effect of capitalism forcing us to eat bad food" when neither is the actual case.

Fat people exist in all social classes and all walks of life, often regardless of individual choices.

Fat people are victims of capitalist exploitation at the hands of the multi billion dollar diet and weight loss industry that pushes eating disorder behavior and unnecessary surgeries on to us all in the name of profits.

Fatphobia ties into beauty standards that capitalists use to manipulate people into hating their bodies so they can be sold beauty. Think about how many of the ads you get every day are for weight loss.

how do you treat ugly fat people? fat people with poor hygiene? fat people with visible disibility aides? fat people with absolutely zero dress sense? fat people who sweat easily? fat people who take up multiple seats on public transport? fat people who are balding? who have poor teeth? who have health complications due to their weight? what about fat people who fit into any of the aforementioned categories and are also visibly transgender? or is a POC? or both? when a fat black woman shows any emotion, what do you think of her? does your fat acceptance begin and end with the fat people you want to fuck?

anti-fatness is not just body shaming.

anti-fatness is discrimination. anti-fatness is having next to no legal protections for being discriminated against. anti-fatness is being denied housing, jobs, receiving less pay and promotions (legally) because of your size. anti-fatness is being denied access to clothing, seating, transportation, and other human rights because infrastructure has been designed to exclude you. anti-fatness is less likelihood of receiving a fair trial. anti-fatness is dehumanization. anti-fatness is being denied necessary surgeries, but not surgery that amputates the digestive tract with the intent to starve and shrink you (it doesn’t work either). anti-fatness is mutilation. anti-fatness is being subject to torture devices that bolt your mouth shut. anti-fatness is being told by close friends, family, and professionals that you are better off living with an eating disorder or other life-threatening illness. anti-fatness sells you starvation as a guaranteed opt-out of oppression, but doesn’t tell you that bodies will always regain weight to survive. anti-fatness blames and punishes you for failing at an achievement that is quite literally impossible. anti-fatness is a $90 billion dollar industry. anti-fatness is being denied gender-affirming care. anti-fatness is being barred from in vitro fertilization and reproductive healthcare. anti-fatness is being barred from adopting children. anti-fatness is being removed from your loving parents because they couldn’t make you thin. anti-fatness is intentionally starving your own baby so they won’t get fat. anti-fatness is disproportionately high suicide rates. anti-fatness is being killed at the hands of medical neglect and mistreatment. anti-fatness is the world preferring a dead body over a fat one.

just saw a ridiculous ed post talking about how "body positive people would all choose to be skinny if given the chance," and i just wanted to say as someone who used to be pretty small and gained a bunch of weight due to t and antidepressants i would literally never choose to be skinny or choose to go back. i love my strong, soft body. i love feeling big and solid. i love being warm and nice to hug and squeeze. i love being able to eat what i want and take care of my body the way it needs me to. and i don't just accept it because i have to- i feel hot, i feel attractive, i actively enjoy myself and the way my body looks. i prefer being this way to being thin. i would always choose this, every time, a million times over anything else

Include men in your body positivity. you are not body positive if you make fun of male pattern baldness, neckbeards, fatness, etc in men. these traits are just as worthy of acceptance regardless of if it's wrapped in pink bows or not.

please god stop talking about diets and weight loss in front of kids. especially if those kids are girls. and especially if you’re someone those kids look up to. but really just stop talking about about diets and weight loss when children are in earshot at all. I promise you you’re doing far more harm than good.
