Summary
A replica of her bubble was made for display in the Emerald City Square, below the statue of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Tearful citizens left behind flowers, letters, and small trinkets for their beloved Glinda the Good.
At the evening’s ninth hour - the time of her kidnapping - a lightwork projection of fuchsia created a sphere around the platform and the Press Secretary’s voice played in a crackled recording:
“Keep your eyes to the skies, citizens of Oz, and bring word of all you see to our Wizard. For our benevolent, our innocent, our Glinda the Good…we must never give up hope.”

Yes, Glinda thought, but home was not some foreign land, but a dorm room filled with the pink trappings of her youth, and an emerald-hued witch she’d regret leaving for the rest of her rather short life. Woman, child, and dog fled the city.

Poppy Fields and Pained Breaths by violet6652. Complete fic! Gliyeraba with Chronically ill Glinda, it is plenty angsty but has a happy ending, the portrayal of chronic illness is done very well. She suffers the entire fic!
Glinda goes with Elphaba at the end of Defying Gravity, but is forced to return to the Emerald City after succumbing to a tragic illness. After her recovery, the Wizard and Morrible seize control of her and Fiyero, using the pair as puppets for their cause. One year later, Glinda and Fiyero successfully escape and rejoin Elphaba on her travels. The three of them fall in love and vow to save the Animals together, but Glinda keeps a fatal secret from Elphaba...
