funniest possible outcome for all of this is that at the very end of episode 18 they have bobby back, eddie is home, and they’re outside of the station at the start/end of a shift and someone is like “well gang it’s been a crazy year, but at least it seems like things are finally gonna be back to normal around—” and then the firehouse blows up.

i am looking forward to so much with buddie canon (yay domestic buddie), but i think one of the things i'm most excited for is how it will open up eddie (and buck, though he is less of a victim of this) to interact with other characters more. so much of their screen time right now goes towards the progression of buddie (which don't get me wrong - i love), but when they are established and solid, i am so excited to how that will open them up to other interactions. buckley han diaz family dinners? YAY. cheddie bonding? YAY. maddie and eddie having a real conversation? YAY. buck and hen hanging out? YAY. double dates with other couples in the 118? YAY. buck and bobby having a conversation about being step parents? YAY YAY YAY.

buck teasing eddie while they're on facetime and eddie goes "oh you love me" and buck says "WHAT noidon't. what are you talking about. did tommy tell you to say that? did MADDIE tell you to say that??you're straight. and this isn't even your house. and i, hate you." and then he hangs up
