just keep seeing videos on youtube saying “the hobbit SUCKS!!!!” and am always like… do you really hate fun that much?? it’s just a silly little movie

it's actually sucks, the amount of shit i saw about the hobbit movies when i just entered the fandom a couple of months ago. and the problem there is not in the opinion itself, you can like an dislike whatever as far as i am concerned. but the way these opinions are presented as an actual, non-arguable truth is damaging. i was Almost turned away from the hobbit movies because of that which is to say — i am glad i wasn't in the end. because i loved them.

these movies are fun to watch and it turned out they are not even as close to being as bad as fans of lotr said. sometimes you just gotta enjoy the presented story, for it can be compelling by itself.
