For a first-timer when it came to directing the game, plus not having tons of experience as a player either, Mr Francis was doing pretty well. Definitely not perfect, sure, but still.

βHere, Mr Francis.β Checking things like the enemy NPCs health points and other details became sort of muscle memory when you were used to it, but could come off as tricky for newbies. And technically, by helping out she was getting some spoilers butβ¦ βWould you rather Iββ

Apart from Poe (who had a vast knowledge at least) and Louisa herself, most of the group were almost as new to the game as Mr Francis was to being in charge. Steinbeck had mentioned playing once or twice, but he had also tasked himself with helping Lovecraft out. And Mark, despite having gotten the hang of numbers very quickly, had been a case of knowing what it was but never having tried. Margaret wasnβt the best player, but she and Mr Hawthorne had wandered off somewhere, soβ¦
Long story short, it was going to be okay.
